She's beautiful man I love it very clean I love to find a chevy s10 blazer but I want the older 4.3v6 not the vortec version . I have a 85 chevy s10 2.8 automatic 2wd long bed I'm building it's on my channel . I paid $400 a year ago or so and it used to have a 2.54cyl with a blown headgasket so I took that out instead of fixing it and found a 2.8v6 and swapped it all over has been a very long process lol it seems and still more to go but it does run and drive now and have been for about 3 months or so but everything about it is on my channel with alot of other things and still more to come . 🛠 I've put alot into the truck and still have more to go ha really doesn't take long at all and seems like alot more people into these vehicles now than ever before and I hate seeing them junked that makes me wanna cry I mean I've seen like mint s10s like body wise and it be junked for what reason idk just sucks seeing that and even the blazers . Looking forward to seeing more of yours as well

Thank You. . .It is a labor of love. My dad had an 85 S10 with the 2.8 v6 and a 5 spd. . .great little truck until it rusted out. I was too young to ever drive it, but I wouldn't want anything smaller than the 4.3 in the Blazer with all the extra weight. I'll have to take a look at yours. You're right too, seems to be more interest in these now. I get asked about mine all the time now, and have even been flagged down by another driver who wanted to talk about it. I just found another one, a 94 Jimmy for $400 that I really want to grab, but unfortunately I don't really have the Money/Space/Time to drag another one home right now. Next up for my blazer is probably going to be a buff/polish detail, and some other exterior cosmetics. But right now I'm working on my Big Bore Triple Waveraider build.

Nice!!!! I remember back in 2016 I paid the same amount for a 87 s10 4x4 pickup. I had it a year. Caught on fire due to fuel leakage.

Looking good with all your upgrades and mechanic fixes. It is a great feeling doing things yourself when you can. I also have a 94 S-10 Blazer which is Dark green and beige down below. I love driving mine also with I still drive occasionally. I just saw your video so I am a little late in seeing this.

Thanks. . .Of course it's a never ending process, but satisfying to do it yourself. They are great little tucks. I haven't been driving mine too much lately as it needs a new battery, and my cheapie electric fans weren't up to the task of running the AC in the summer heat, but we're finally starting to get more reasonable temps here in FL.

Yess they are my dad had the same body style and color but his was a gmc jimmy and he had 580k miles and it keep going for 3 years more till it was time to put it to sleep i keeped the grill and dash only
@VHickleGarage
@VHickleGarage 4 жыл бұрын
@@rickpena4875 580k is very impressive. Up there with some of the highest mileage I've heard for these. I know there are a few others on the forums, but I think they're only in the 400k range. Up to 244k now myself. . . I have a ways to go to catch up lol

Wow I have two and neither have a cracked up dash I plan on putting a 1.9 vw tdi engine in my nice one out of a 02 Jetta for more power and nearly 40 mpg. I just love these things I have one I have bashed around the fields for years going 50+ mph and it still runs ok
@VHickleGarage
@VHickleGarage 4 жыл бұрын
Pretty incredible that neither have the cracked dashboards. I now have a molded dash cap, but I need to do some fine trimming so I can glue it down. 1.9 TDI would be an awesome swap, would love to see it. . . . The Mercedes Diesel looked like it might also be a good contender for a diesel swap.
@heyoitssky1191
@heyoitssky1191 4 жыл бұрын
V.Hickle Garage thank you. I guess their both north Dakota vehicles so that might explain the dash. I am planning with going with the TDI because I have a wrecked Jetta and I can easily make as much power as the stock engine and get near 40 MPG and I get to roll coal it's pretty much a win win.

You said you just installed those cheap headlights. They are cheap for a reason. Please do yourself and other motorists a favour and swap them out with some proper and approved headlights. Nice truck!

Nice job on the Blazer. Ive got a 93" 2 door thats in the works right now. I like the those tires its sportin'... are those the stock 205 75 15 size and what model General tire are they?

Thank You! Always glad to hear when people are giving the 1st gens some love. They're General Altimax RT's 235/75/15. They were on there when I bought it 3.5 years ago. They're not bad, but they REALLY suck in the wet. . Super easy to slide when hitting the brakes, or to break the back tires loose when accelerating. It could be because they're older though. I would really like to get some 30" or 31" A/T's for it at some point in the future.

Does the sun visors have the clip attachment so the visor will stay and not swing around when you go through a turn?
@VHickleGarage
@VHickleGarage Жыл бұрын
Yes, my main visors have the clip. I also have the secondary smaller visor above them, and those do not, but I've never had a problem with them swinging out.

@@VHickleGarage I don't think GM ever made them that way but I could be wrong. It would be an awesome swap.

Those are some nice led replacement headlights. Were they plug and play or did you have to do any wire harness connections to get them to work out?

@VHickleGarage
@VHickleGarage 4 жыл бұрын
As in an insurance write off? . . No, It wasn't wrecked or anything, although both bumpers were dented from a previous owner bumping into something. The big issues when I got it were bad trans, and disintegrated upper control arm bushings.

Definitely have had some problems with it over the years. Including a few right now lol. It is a love/hate relationship. I'm not sure that it breaks that much more than anything else, but repairs are always more expensive and more work than my American and Japanese cars.
