1996 chevy s10 heater core, odometer, dash removal

i was having problem with my 96 chevy s10 overheating to find that i had a puddle on the passengers floor of coolant. i figured out it was the heater core leaking. in this video i will give a brief and very vague description on how to remove the heater core but keep in mind it is doable. i gave you the main pointers in this video it is by no means a detailed explanation, regardless if you have questions comment them because maybe someone else is wondering the same thing but i will answer them as best i can because i know i left out some details. subscribe and like the video! i plan to make a better video if people are interested so please let me know. it will be called the same thing or similar to this one

insane amount of work...yes$1000 easily...i have same truck, prior owner bypassed H/C to prevent fixing it. thanks 4 video

Great information on pulling the dash. One bit of info. Can you rotate the phoen sideways fro videos from now on it will give the viewer much larger screen and much more things to see. Cheers!

Man I just changed my heater coil on a 1997 GMC Sonoma I have to plugs that's right around the steering female plugs that I can't find the plug that goes to them I'm thinking that I might find them on the very bottom panel that goes around the glass pedal?

I am just wondering how do you have 2wd rims on a 4wd. I know the offset is way different and they should be sticking out more.

Awesome video dude! Do you know if the heater core for your extended cab would be the same as a 96 extended cab with the TBI motor and not the vortec?

Hey I appreciate it! My best suggestion would be, to follow your coolant hoses going through your fire wall. Those hoses should lead you directly to your heater core, if you have any more questions feel free to let me know! Also, I made a more detailed video if your interested. Yeah, when you're going to show how to remove something, start at the beginning and go step by step. It's not very helpful to try explaining what you did when everything is in pieces.

looks like you need to learn a whole lot on doing mec work you went to extreme taking out heat coil,the steering wheel don't need droped and you don't have to take dash off ,just remove bottom screws on dash ,and top ,then put you a 2x4 jack under bottom ti lift up and out, to get access to all screws,,,
