Skip Away was a MONSTER during his Prime...He had a Powerful turn of foot in the Stretch and he was also FAST...His overall Numbers showed that he was a Legit Top Horse and Champion...He would have not been some Push over for Many of the Great horses in History...Owners put up $480,000 to Enter him in this Race and that was a Confident investment...Never will get tired of watching this Beautiful Horse bound powerfully through the stretch

I would have loved to see American Pharoah run against a horse like Skip Away in the BC Classic. Unfortunately, we'll never know how good AP really was.

I didn't find out about his owner/ trainer supplementing until after the race had run! Cost me more than 17k as I would have never dropped him from my Pic 6 ticket, for $72 ! The pic 6 was pretty low considering it started with A $50 horse, and a a couple of non- favorites in there, including Escena, beating the 4/5 entry, still had a good day, 5 of 6 paid like $6 or $800 or something, still crying about it to this day, I had the winning ticket in my hand, 2 times..♥️🙏👉🇺🇸

@@dennisk207We know how good Pharoah was: He won the Triple Crown for the first time in 37 years and never raced as a 4-year-old.

I thought Skip Away was the best horse to come along since Spectacular Bid. And there has not been his equal since.

It's crazy how people always knock Mike Smith...he's one of the best jockey's ever for crying out loud!

He usually lets the horse run his race like you should with champion horses, ( well, all except Zenyatta in her 20th try)

Blue grass stakes record holder to this day, Ohio derby record holder to this day, jockey club gold cup record holder at 1 1/4 to this day, mass cap and track record holder, 2nd fastest Breeders’ cup classic. Formal gold was great at 1 1/8 th and beat skip away a few times at that distance, lost also, never beat skip away at a 1 1/4 distance, so was not better than skip away!

If I have this, I get the pic 6, ( had Touch Gold) I held the winning ticket in my hand 2x, $224,$144 , widdled it down to $72 singling Touch Gold, instead of virtually locking the race by taking both! I had the $55 horse to start, but didn't have the 7/5 favorite to finish. They should have scratched Touch Gold anyways, with the condition of his foot, woulda had it any ways. Plus I didn't read that Buddy Delp,( not some rich owner) paid like $260k to supplement him into the race, now that's confidence!..
