1997 International 4700 466e Overheating Problems

We have a 1997 international 4700 466e that is overheating everytime we're going on the hwy. We just replace the water pump, thermostat and fun clutch and still the same. Until today i just replaced the radiator ($945.00 at napa) and fixed the problem. Now is been 7 months and no more overheating.

When was the last time you blew out from behind your ax condenser… replaced the fan clutch, thermostat, and coolant filter, and blew out the charge air cooler, radiator, and condenser from the backside (motor side) made a huge difference. Now the engine temp never gets above 180*.

West Side Drain of course just change the radiator and you'll fix the problem like I did.

Great video! Quick question. When your engine is cold from not running for hours and hours does your top radiator hose shrivel up like if there is a vacuum and once it warms up and the thermostat opens the hose goes back to normal? I have a 1996 4700 dt466 with a allison transmission. Thanks in advance carnal!

@@carlosmartimez7518 I was trying to find out myself. I still don’t know what it can be. I find it odd that it does that. I guess when the coolant gets cold and the thermostat closes it creates a vacuum. That’s only my guesstimate. I’m just a diy type of guy.

Ben Greenstar I think I paid like $900 and some change at Napa because the Dealer was $1600 and change

My truck is not overheating but it’s running extremely hot and oil/coolant light comes on and truck won’t goes over 60

Luis Rivera no lo e hecho en este camion pero normalmente el metodo es el mismo en todos , solo gira el volante hacia la derecha sin que llegue completamente al tope y despues hacia la izquierda de igual modo pero despacio hazlo por unas 10 veces o hasta que se purgue.

Saludos, Traigo un 2010 Internacional Maxxforce 4300, Le cambié el Fan clutch,Thermostat y el Sensor de Temperatura y todavía se sigue calentando,, Nose si el Radiador esté dañado.. No trae Código. Me podría ayudar? Gracias

Asi le pasaba al mio y tambien le cambie la bomba de agua, fun clutch y radiador y siguio calentandose hasta que le cambie el radiador se arregló y ya lleva un poco mas de 4 años al cien.

Yeah Idk when u made the video I'm having same issue with same truck but been reading threads online where people have put in New radiators and it didnt help just not trying to throw part after part at it and turn into a money pit. If know what I mean.

Ed Corbette I know right, before I replaced the radiator I replaced water pump, fun clutch and thermostat and it didn't work till I replaced the radiator and now no overheating at all . I still got the truck
