I watched two or three videos on this and I got good tips at each site. I got both doors fixed on my '99 F-150. This feels so good to be able to access the back seat again. You made a good video with good info. Thank you.

Thanks for making it look easy. Sometimes those metal things from the kit are either too long or the inside opening is too narrow to get over the plastic covering over the coiled metal cable, and you have to make adjustments either by cutting back the plastic covering, drilling out the narrow end of the metal thing, or cutting off a half an inch or so of the narrow end of the metal piece from the kit to make it work. All of the cables have the same amount if wear and tend to fail at these time, so every able connection usually needs to be repaired while you're doing it. A lot of us have top and bottom latches, which makes the job a little more time-consuming, but it can still be done if you give yourself enough time. You will need a good flash light and I recommend using a dental-type or mechanic's mirror on a long handle to be able to see what's broken and what you are trying to fix. In the early models of 3 door Ford F150s, the window lock base is screwed through 2 holes in the trim, and those 2 screws have to be removed before you can pull out the top trim around that window in the 3rd door.
