I looked for one of these last year. Found one listed for just under 5000, great shape. And I tried and tried to get ahold of the owner to buy it. Never heard a word from him. This morning I saw another in a different color.. not quite the shape, but ok for me, about the money it should be. But it's too late. I've already got something else. Someone would complain about the gas mileage but I don't drive enough to care what a 350 4x4 actually gets. CFI injection and OD transmission helps a lot. Before OD, before lockup torque converters, before hypereutectic pistons and low tension moly rings, before silicon and aluminum bearings being the cheese (for people who do maintenance, not driving a dump truck in dirty conditions, etc.. normal duty)), before roller cam and lifters, you were lucky to get better than 10 mpg, if that. I keep hearing people say they don't care anything about mileage.. but they're the one's whining about high gas prices.. nothing you can do for stupid. I've never yet worked for anyone with money and business sense that didn't care about mileage. You need to know where your money is going or you'll never have anything. But a vehicle like this is a lot cheaper than something 15-20 years newer. Cents per mile rules. I'm done.

Good job choosing one with the 3rd door. Very convenient when installing a car seat or replacing the rear furniture. Too bad GM only made those 96-98. Back in 94 we didn’t have that 3rd door.
