Best trucks from the 90s in my opinion

Just bought one from an older gentleman with only 87,000 original miles on it. Did a few maintenance fixes. Runs like a top. No rust. Paint still has that fresh sheen to it. Couldn’t be happier.

Love these things. I have a single cab long bed, it's my first vehicle. It looks pretty good, and I'm picking up the parts to fix ot cosmetically tomorrow. The trucks are cheap, reliable, and good runners, and parts are cheap too. Great trucks, maybe even better than squarebodies. Only maybe.

I also have a single cab long bed, they didn’t make too many of those. They kinda look a little awkward but if you put a toolbox on and and some side rails it fills out the space from the long bed and makes it look really nice. The toolbox is also functional since you aren’t given much secured, inside space with a single cab. The long beds are great for hauling big equipment, ladders, etc. And in my opinion, the bench seats in single cabs are far superior to bucket seats, much more comfortable.

@@jimmycorbett4611 I 100% agree with the bench seat. A toolbox is definitely not a bad idea, but personally I'm putting a roll bar in mine, as well as a brush guard, bigger tires, and maybe some suspension upgrades (only maybe, not a big fan of lifted trucks.) I want a daily driver that is also able to go off-road (light off-road, not like rock climbing or anything like that.) Well either way, I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes these trucks. You have a nice day :)

I got my truck pretty solid for 800 Canadian dollars, I'll probably do a little video oneday once I have some parts I need to replace, starting with the blower motor and eventually id like a newer, single post throttle body for custom air cleaner dishes and the fuel injection itself for better fuel mileage yet better performance Then id like to grab a new frame and while I swap out the old frame with the new one, do a little welding cuz I did notice some rot under the cab while I was doing my oil change

Your truck is almost identical to mine except mine is a '97 Kodiak Edition, meaning mainly that it has a positraction rear end for winter driving. But I'm not about to take my truck out in the winter with salt on the roads. I had to go to Nanaimo to find my truck after a two or more year search. I paid about $1700 and had to replace various parts but I knew it would be worth it. And I don't live too far away from you in Burnaby.

Be careful about the vinyl flooring it cleaned up easy but it dont let the water evaporate so it causes a lot of rust

Finding one that nice i northern Michigan is not cheap at all. I have a 98' crew cab short box and the cab is just shot. Runs like a champ but rust has destroyed it.

That thing seems way more reliable than my old 01 Silverado 5 spd. Was the biggest pos I’ve owned.

@EB Indy my uncle had a 2001 silverado and 1998 GMC Sierra like this one and his silverado broke and had many issues and was sold 7 years ago while the 98 is still running strong with no issues

The 98 c/k’s was the last reliable Chevy trucks tbh. I love chevy/gmc but their newer stuff from like 2000-present is for the most part pretty unreliable.

I have a 92 k1500 single can 8ft bed 175thousand miles on it....I only paid 700$ that's like 900bucks Canadian bucks roughly...very well kept ,yes it was worked ,I've only had to put a parking brake release cable in it ,(which yes is a pain to do) but I've it, it's got the 4.3 in it...here's a fact for the 4.3 ..when chevy invented it back in tge 60s they literally took a small block 350 and cut 2 cylinders off of it,that's why the 4.3 is known amongst gear heads as a quarter 350,the 4.3 shares a lot of parts with tge 350,same piston, bore, etc. Go ahead give it a google!
