In this video we start the truck up and check out the clutch!
Next video will be driving the truck around.
5.3/NV3500
5.3 has a Elgin Sloppy Stage 2, pac 1218 springs all new bearings, shimmed stock oil pump.
Clutch and pressure plate is from a 2003 2wd 5spd Silverado.
Throw out bearing is stock to the trans from the 5.7/4.3

Are you using an nv3500? If so has it held up so far ?

Yes it's a Nv3500, more info in the video description! And it has held up perfectly fine! Been launching it at 3k rpm on slicks, dead hooking off the line.

Nope, the slave is still from the 5.7/5.0/4.3 clutch. Flywheel/clutch/preasure plate are from a 2000 Silverado

@@LS_Eh thanks. I'm doing the same drivetrain on a 67 f100 and I'm at the point of ordering the clutch kit. Did you hook up any wires to the transmission from the pcm?

@@al-mz1wy The VSS is hooked up on it for the speedo. The reverse lights weren't working when I got the truck, so that's an issue to be addressed. Also the pilot bearing I used is the smaller diameter one, not the large OD one. And nice! I've seen a few f100's swapped. They are nice!

It's a cheapy intake off of amazon for a early 2000's escalade. Modified it to fit and accept the MAF

Part numbers on the throw out bearing and clutch set up

Don't have part numbers but, Throw out is a from a 98 c1500 manual v6 Clutch, flywheel and pilot bearing from a 99-06 2wd 1500 4.8 manual. Easy to find on rockauto.
