Replace your front shock/strut assembly fast and easy. Just showing you guys how I did mines. Get your own info on bolts/nuts torque specs. I don't know them. Video was edited to remove camera falling and viewing placements.

Thank you kindly. I did them on an 1974 Mitsubishi Lancer and it was an easy job. My wife Honda CRV 2000 needs them done and they look much the same. GREAT JOB keep up the effort.

Thanks for making this video. I have a 97 and the engine still starts and runs like brand new. The ride has started getting worse and I've been thinking of getting a newer used car but I still love my crv and not having a car payment.

John Dozier my daughter that’s 20yrs old loves her 01 CRV and really attached to it. She’s told me plenty of times that she feels much safer not having all the distractions from these new electronics and gadgets in newer cars. I’m sure she’ll be keeping her CRV for a very long time.

Upper steering knuckle nut and It will drop then remove the strut bolts top. And bottom no need to remove tie rod
@streemline134 жыл бұрын
yes true no need to remove tie rod ball joint. I just did it to give my self more room. removing one castle nut is easy.

Thanks so much for your advice... you've just saved me so much time & heartache 😂 from undoing 22year old rusting rounded bolts. I thought this was an impossible task , with the limited tools I have. Cheers 👍💯Big time 😊

Dude! Thank you so much! I really appreciate this video. Did it ride a bit better after replacement??
@streemline135 жыл бұрын
tommyboy790 you’re welcome. yes it definitely rode better. The old shocks was clunking when I hit a small bump and replacing them got rid of that.

Streamline Great video, Thank you. Did it change your alignment? I was wondering if we will need to get an alignment after installing new Struts?
@streemline134 жыл бұрын
MrCowboyjeff Yes it made the ride much stiffer. I would recommend getting an alignment. Thank you for watching.
@bradleyporter54544 жыл бұрын
MrCowboyjeff I am a mechanic, I get questions like these all the time. When replacing any steering components or suspension excluding shocks, you need an alignment. If not, your tires will be destroyed quicker over time and your gas mileage will drop significantly because of toe.

Harbor freight jack 💪🏾

yes I like the fact its low and can fit under my civic hatch but it sucks when I need to use it on my honda crv. It doesn't jack the car up high enough to clear the wheels off the ground without needing blocks. Definitely only good for regular height cars and not on suv height types.

what brand strut assembly u buy?..thanks for vid.
@streemline135 жыл бұрын
Ripple Freak I bought the complete front and rear struts with springs on eBay by shock masters. Beware of just buying the cheap struts. I bought a pair and had to replace it coz it had a knock when it hit bumps
