Prodigal Suns dude that’s awesome to hear! That’s Progression in a nutshell! “Prodigal Progression!!!” You want more challenge and bit bigger drip of Adrenalin!! Wish I lived closer cuz you and I are a lot the same. Would love to go to a parking lot, grease up a curb and fire up a BBQ for an awesome old-school ripper sesh.

Nice vid. That bowl is insane! The whole park looks really nice on the Austin parks website. I could stay there a long time.

I tried those same bones bushings in my grind kings and went back to the stock bushings, but I ride fairly loose. I really like them. you know anything new takes some time to get used to! I think they are quite a bit narrower than your typical trucks to so the turn radius is different, etc.. I would encourage more sessions on them.

Awesome session my brother trying out new gear is always a toss up for me sometimes it feels good and sometimes it feels sketchy it will always come down to personal preference and what makes you feel better sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't... you have to try different things to find out what you like 👍

Very cool video, brother. I've heard that the Grind King geometry is different and people who ride Indys tend to get thrown off by it at first. My plan is to get a pair for my other 8.5 and do a side to side test with the Thunders I have on my main board. I'm super new at this so not sure how much I'll notice the difference. Awesome skating!!

First is how the skater feels. Then any change in truck's geometry, it changes its performance, pivot cups, washers, bushings's size, bushing's shape (hardness ofc). Then the board, some trucks work well with one board badly with another, it has to do with steepness of tail, wheelbase and as I said skater's preferences. In my case if I keep my knees bend and relaxed I get less speed wobbles, the moment I stand stiff The moment I get closer to the floor. I use soft bushings though.

Great video, I was curious if you have a preference for deck wheelbase for bowl skating?
@ProdigalSuns3 жыл бұрын
Definitely, I like at least 9 wide on the decks probably prefer 10" no bigger than that. For me the wheelbase needs to be at min 15" but I prefer 15.5 ... 16 is the largest for me👍

New set up gonna always be weird🤷🏽♂️ and those flints work better on pool coping or non painted curbs .you will be hard pressed to get a spark out of park or pipe coping.
@ProdigalSuns3 жыл бұрын
Well today I tried some concrete coping but the sun was up. I'll go slappy them at sunset...

@@ProdigalSuns blessings man be safe 🙏 and spark it up 🤙.were you able yo locate some tale devil's ? They really need to bring those back 🙏

Exactly. Killy's gotta break in those Indy's before he'll really know how they ride.

Love that handle btw. Also I find your finding the same. The GK Sparking Disruptor worked better on non painted curbs I've seen.

Where did you get them spitfires on your Lucero board?
@ProdigalSuns3 жыл бұрын
They are a mark Gonzales signature wheel from a couple years back.

I know what Kill is feelin. When u hop on a new pair of Indy's it feels like ur 2 inchs higher ( becuz u are - duh!) Hey I was curious - how many parks is there in your neck of the woods?
@ProdigalSuns3 жыл бұрын
Gotta be about 7 park's within 30 mins of me.

Is OSHA making you wear that helmet? 🤣 I've been curious about it since first seeing it. My son thinks it's cool btw

Lol

I struggle with the fact that your helmet is missing a chin strap. All the safety literature states that a snug chin strap is needed.

you could have let the kid go .that was pretty close to a bully move. maybe that kid only has a bike and wants to hang out and learn to skate. now he probably feels dumb and went home
@ProdigalSuns7 ай бұрын
I get to know all the kids out there . I'm also know for teaching them skate park etiquette. He learned something if you're talking about the clip around 6:40. Ish. I love skating with the kids and parents. I ain't a bully to a kid that little. But he does need to learn snaking someone is serious and can lead to someone getting hurt.
