5:03 Moa and the drummer [ sorry i don't know his name ] are making faces at each other. I think this shows how close this band is, they are so relaxed together. Having fun on stage while working their asses off. When the Kami band first met these girls the girls were so young..13 and 14 i would guess. It seems to me they have taken the job on to protect them, this has caused the tightest of bonds. In fact it seems to me a lot of the metal community have done the same thing. The girls have always shown so much respect to everyone, i think bands have seen this and of course loved it. These girls have changed how people see metal music, [ me for one ]. Great reaction - and this isn't even the best version of this song. Did you notice the drummer pulling faces at one of the girls trying to make her laugh when she was facing him? She was probably doing the same to him. Su-metal's vocals (she is the lead singer) are always spot on despite all the dancing and jumping around. The whole concept for this band was formed around her. They started in 2010 when the girls were aged 12, 11 and 11 - they will be touring the US (20 dates in different cities including their first US arena show at The Forum in LA) in September and October. The guitar arrangements for this song were written by Herman Li and Sam Totman of DragonForce and they played on the studio version. I would like to suggest 'Headbanger' or 'Megitsune' (ideally both) live at Budokan, Red Night ... and there are a whole load more to follow if you want them. Every song they do is different and every song is great - especially the live performances. They won the award from Kerrang for Best Live Act for very good reason.

BABYMETAL is a Japanese Kawaii Metal group consisting of (for the most part) SU-METAL on lead vocals, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL on backing vocals/dancing, or "SCREAM AND DANCE" as they like to call it. I say 'for the most part' as Yui & Moa have a few songs that they do as duets without Su and Su has a few songs she does as solos whilst Yui & Moa take a well deserved break. They were formed in 2010 as part of the idol goup Sakura Gakuin, before touring on their own in 2011 and have gone from strength to strength. They started singing to backing tracks with actors in skeleton suits pretending to play instruments (known as BABYBONES) but soon incorporated the Kami Band into their concerts, bringing them in full time at the end of 2013. The Kami Band consists of some of Japan's premier musicians on rotation based on availability. The most popular configuration consisting of Takayoshi Ohmura and Mikio Fujioka on guitar with Leda Cygnus as stand-in, BOH on bass and Aoyama Hideki on drums. These are the people you will see most often in videos. Since the untimely passing of Mikio at the end of 2017 they have enlisted the talents of Isao Fujita on guitar. I'm 45 now and I have been fan of a few bands, I had my room draped in Iron Maiden posters back in the day, but I have never loved a band like I love BABYMETAL! They are an absolutely unique phenomenon! They are not for everyone, but as you may have seen, if you can accept their unique style, they will leave a deep impression. Whether it's the instrumentalists, the vocals, the dancing, the crowd interaction, the live presentation, the positivity, it's all close to perfection and combined it's one complete package without any competition. Well if you are going to do the J/Metal/Rock scene then go all out. All female bands that play their instruments and also have vocals.
