So, I'm the oldest of three and father of 3 and I can confirm that the middle child is often ignored. But, that's because middle children often ignores every instruction ever given and forget what they were supposed to do. And, when you finally yell at them after asking nicely 400 times they act like you are an inconvenience and just yell all the time. So, you don't even bother and end up focusing on the two who actually listen. Plus the middle child usually asks for attention in the most inappropriate way at the most inappropriate time. "Hey Dad, you look super busy carrying all those groceries in by yourself. So, I'm going to take this time to follow you (not carrying a single thing) and tell you an 'awesome' joke I just made up." So, while this is true, it's because the middle child brings it on himself. And to back up Chase, yes this is a real life thing for me. And, yes he is my mom's favorite. LOL

As the father of 4 sons, I don't have a pregnancy story, but my philosophy of how you change: Let's say that the child is sitting in the high chair at the table with a piece of cheese pizza. The slice falls to the floor with the cheese side down. With Child #1, you pick up the piece, throw it away and get a second piece. With Child #2, you pick it up, brush it off and give it back. With Child #3, you pick it up and hand it back while passing by. and With Child #4, you tell them to get down and get it themselves.......

Well, we bought our first born a small car vacuum cleaner for her first Christmas. Now she is 5 and a week ago I got scolded for vacuuming. It's HER job. Her brother claims to cut the grass when he will be big enough to reach to the grass cutter handle. I'm just waiting for the smallest to be big enough to bring me ice coffee from the fridge. What can I say, I love my kids :)

When your first child eats a worm,you rush them to the hospital. When your second eats a worm, you watch them for a bit, and when your third eats a worm, you think if it counts as a snack.

LOL! I only had one but she is now in the beginning of her 2nd pregnancy and I already see exactly what you all are talking about!!! They live with us and it’s so fun watching all 3 of them (mom, dad and our grandson) grow as a family! Can’t wait to see how they all change and grow with the new addition!!

As a fourth born, this is true. People always want to claim the youngest are the most doted on, but by the time #4 hits, mom and dad are understandably too tired to care.

My mom went into labor with me during a NFL football game, with about half the game left. She stayed, watched the game, drove from the stadium to my grandma's house, had dinner, then went to the hospital.

Yeah my 3rd I was watching Archer went to bed for a bit got up called a friend to look after the other kids, had breakfast, helped the 3 year old go potty, call a cab, chatter out the front for a bit and then had a baby within 10 min of arriving at hospital.

Me: Writing times down in the middle of a surgery Nurse: Is this info regarding the patient? Me: Nope, just timing my contractions. Surgeon: You're in labor?! Me: Yeah, but it just started like 40 min ago. Surgeon: Do you need to go down to ER? Do you need to sit down? What do you need?! Me: For you to finish this surgery please so I can go pee! Lol. 23 hours later baby #3 made her debut.

When my water broke with our 3rd kid I literally told my husband to stop on our way to the hospital, at Buffalo Wild Wings because they won’t let me eat once we’re there. He’s all but your in labor?! I was all eh, we got time. When I started pushing I told him to hold my water and give me 10 minutes and I’ll have this baby out. It’s so different between your first and third kid lol

True! When my water broke for my 3rd, I was still at work. I finished up a memo, went home, took a shower, arranged for the older 2 kids to go to the grandparents, grabbed some dinner and wandered over to the clinic. They didn’t believe me when I said my water broke. It was my 3rd kid. I knew what was what by then. 😂

We just had our 3rd in the floor right beside the bed! My oldest son(7) was at his grandparents’ when we called to tell him he had a new sister, he said, “I might come and take a look at her tomorrow.”

As a mom of four, I can attest this to be true! By baby #4 I was actively doing squats, going up/down stairs, and vacuuming every day a week before EDD to get that adorable little bugger out! 😂

I had 97 hours of labor, all back labor. He was spoiled by the nurses. When they finally got the baby out he disappeared before I was sewed up! That took 1.5 hours!!!! I didnt see him for two days. He ran home and hid out in his old room at mom and dads. I divorced him when she was ten. What a moron!

@@queenbee3647 OMG 97 hours! I had like 4 hours laboring before my water broke and our baby was born 26 mins later we barely made it and it was my first baby. I had back labor too but I couldn’t imagine 97 hours! My husband pushed on my back and it helped a lot

Very true😂 We spent weeks choosing our 1st babies name. With the 3rd we just spent an hour. I also made myself and my husband sandwiches for the labour.

So true. I'm the baby and my parents were - sometimes a bit too relaxed - but I am independent, happily married, have the least amount of debt, and hanging out with family is really just a lot of fun, instead of baggage and drama.

With our 2nd child, my wife's water broke at 2 in the morning. I asked her if she had contractions yet and she replied not yet, so we went back to sleep. About 20 minutes later, her 1st contraction started, so we got up from bed, got dressed, got the bag, got in the car and left for the hospital. No fuss, no hurry. Daughter arrived just after 8... . . She was beautiful with pitch black hair..

My water broke with my second one night. Didn't think that was truly what it was. Went to sleep. Sat up the next morning and it gushed like it had the first time. Thought, yeah, it probably broke. Called the doc. They said go to the hospital. We went and ate waffle house then took my daughter to the sitter. Then went to the hospital. The doctor was freaking out cause it was over 18 hours since it broke. My baby was fine.

Better idea: Fire any doctor that doesn't let you eat during labor! It's a terrible policy based on poor research.

@stephanicrandall7797 Don't I know it 😭 This was over a year ago now, but neither the nurses nor the midwife on staff (as wonderful as they were) would let me eat solids once I got my epidural. I was allowed to eat during the 18 or so hours prior. But after the epidural, I got stuck with clear liquids... broth and tea and ice pops and whatnot.

Oh yeah I wasn't allowed to eat after I got the epidural either. Clear liquids only. I don't mind that as much because there is more research as to why, but it's when they don't allow women to eat during labor at all that is just bonkers!

I come from a family of 3 kids and this is literally exactly how it happened. I’m the oldest and all the home videos of me in the whom are my parents acting exactly like the first couple in the vid and when my sister (the youngest) was born it was exactly like the other couple 😂

As the oldest I made the point to my younger sister after she had her third kid that now she fully understood that I was the one they really wanted and the extra kids were just so I wouldn't grow up an only child.

Had the reverse situation with the diapers. Ended up getting cloth ones for our second baby because we just could not afford to keep up with disposable diapers on 2 kids. Honestly, cloth diapers are pretty great after the baby is a month old. I recommend them.

I survived only first six months with cloth diapers,cause I had to live next to the sink,changing like 6-8times per day Then I tried disposable and felt like a free bird🤣🤣🤣

I have both cloth and disposable! Feels nice to have the cloth ones as a "back up", incase i run out of disposables, and in this day and age, the disposables may run out or low in supermarkets at some point -.- I use the cloth ones like if i change a diaper close to bedtime, for swimming or pretty much just for shorter periods. I don't feel like cleaning poop from it, so :D

My wife's water broke on our first pregnancy in the middle of the night. I woke up to an empty bed at like 4 am and found her in the spare room just folding laundry like nothing was happening. I asked her if we should go to the hospital and she was like "I guess". Either she was the most chill first pregnancy ever or she was scared to actually go to the hospital and do it.

I am curious. Did your wife have a very mild "break?" On my first, my son was already well down and blocked leakage. When my water "broke " it was a mild trickle. I didn't know that as soon as your water breaks you are "on the clock" and I didn't tell ANYONE for about 9 hours because my husband was on his way to work and I didn't want to disturb him, and we had an appointment that afternoon anyway, so I figured it can wait. Boy, was I wrong!
