In this video we talk about upgrading the fuel pumps and fuel pump modules on 2.0t TSI and FSI cars. We talk about the TTRS fuel pump in front wheel drive VW models and why you would need to upgrade the fuel pump control module to get more power out of your engine.

I have used this setup for 500 CHP on my A3. It works great. My factory module would overheat and it shut the car off on the highway. The PM3 kept the factory control module from overheating and my low side fuel pressure has been great.

Could this be the problem I am having where my engine will stall out, however there are no codes or master caution lights on. Car will eventually start again after anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes. Only has happened to.me when car is parked idling for an extended period of time. Car is 08 VW Jetta Wolfsburg 2.0T FSI w/k04 upgrade, APR matching software putting out near 355 hp. I replaced the in tank low pressure fuel pump control module with VWs updated unit thinking it might fix problem, however it did not. I first noticed a problem when tuning the car through it's adaptations for the low pressure fuel pump. The car would eventually stall before I can complete adaptation. Watching the low side fuel pressure I see the pressure slowly drops until presumably to low a pressure to supply HPFP properly. HPFP is not problem as it was retrofit to.use the later and better TSIs roller follower which workes great!! but expensive after spending 2 grand to do so. Anyone have any help or answers to possibly track down and fix this random engine stall problem??? PS I have replaced low pressure sensor among a.few others which names are escaping me atm. Thanks in advance!!!

This solution is awesome because you don't need to hack up your factory harness. That DAP harness is clutch!

what about the tfsi models? i have a seat leon cupra R, that has a 2.0 tfsi with 265hps, would it work?

Also I have a fwd with the saddle tank hose to take fuel from other side so not just a qauttro thing

can you tell me how many amp the pump module oem supports? Does it hold a 14amp fuel pump?

Sir 2006 vw passat 2.0 turbo haven't seen fuel pump assembly how seating in fuel pump and what is the black house in tank . Where that house going . Is that fuel return house is ? Thank you

Iam planning to put 2.0tsi injectors on 1.8tsi engine and custom tune it i have catless downpipe and intake is it possible ? And are 2.0tsi engine injectors bigger ?

Hi I'm having a problem of a fuel pump not delivering petrol to the injectors at the front.my car is jetta 6 1.4 tsi.so I would like to know how can I solve the matter?

My 2010 VW GTI 2.0t, My VW dealer pulled a code for me FAULT (P0087) I replaced fuel pump, control module, filter. VW parts said control module has been updated 3-4 times over the year's, drove 21 miles all good, till next morning it died just like before, letting it warm up. Do I need to upgrade like this video shows.

Looking into this lpfp solution right now (stage 4 revo). Can you keep ttrs fuel level float but adjust the level in VAGCOM?

@@illsmokq Yes I swapped over the arm from the stock pump to the TTRS pump and all working perfectly.

If I change the fuel pump do i need to worry about air in the lines? Does it have a bleeder somewhere or will it be fine?

Can the pm3 be used with the oem pump?

You can, but oem pump is limited to the output it can produce, hence why it is used for pump upgrades.

So the module is actually doing its normal job but you've added a long power and earth of higher gauge added a separate power source to retain constant battery voltage minus fluctuations from your customers frozen water install ( in car entertainment amplifier ( not from the battery itself but through a amplifier power supply into your big wires and fuse holder into your fuel pump ? I'd be keen to see inside the box of tricks , no disrespect just very interested..... clever if it's not just to stop module overheating

When you do this is it necessary to disconnect the battery?

Always recommended to disconnect battery when working with electrical, however, you could probably just pull the fuel pump fuse

Always, always always with anything you touch you disconnect the leads. You're not going to hurt yourself with such low amperage but can definitely short out a lot of control modules / relays / and burn fuses if not careful while working with live power.
