I used to live in Hot Springs. Be careful of the water you get. The sulfur is great for keeping ticks off of the goats and dogs, but it tastes awful in your drinking water. We used to go to the hot springs to fill jugs and bottles. Of course, that's anywhere you live, the water can taste bad. I have a counter top distiller for coffee water. Pays for itself over time. Arkansas is GORGEOUS! Hay was always plentiful. You will love it, provided you don't have to make a ton of money to support yourself. Down to earth people. Alternative medicine is a real thing there, which I like. I would move there, but I have 10 acres and a house paid for in Oklahoma.

After seeing all your dust devils, I would relocate as well. We live in the Blue Ridge mountains and will never leave. Nature is so majestic. My only struggle is that my property is on the side of a mountain so walking is either up or down.

That part of the country is so beautiful. I lived close to that area (Middle Tennessee) for most of my life before I lived in Seattle for a few years and finally moved back to where I was born in New Mexico. As far as the land and beauty of everything, that area is definitely my favorite out of the three. The list of things I didn’t like is pretty short: very humid summers, lots of ticks, and lots of mosquitoes. That’s pretty much it, and there is a way to mitigate all three of those problems. It’s just so green and beautiful, and you and your family will truly fall in love even more after you move. Best wishes.

My folks lived in Mena, AR for a few years before they passed. There are a lot of tornadoes & copperheads in AR. My dad loved the longer growing season but mom didn't like snakes & bugs, or the hunidity. Ask about tornadoes in the areas you look at before you buy. I hope you find your dream property.

We live in NWA. Small town Sulphur Sprngs. We love it here. I have had goats most of the last 17 years. Look in Benton County. There is land for sale outside of Gravette,, Sulphur Springs. We are in zone 6 here.

I went across that crazy bridge earlier this year headed for a load of cedar for our home. After loading up, they told me I had to go another way back to the interstate instead of taking the bridge.😂😂

I lived in Alexandria, AR with 365 acres of wooded and open grounds with water creating creeks, small runoffs surrounding me. I loved it once I became more acclimated. The humility and the skeeters are to be reckoned with. Alot of beauty and pleasuable outdoor activities to do pretty much year round. Pick high ground, AR has alot of areas that flood or hold alot of water due to rainstorms. Do your research real well when considering land area. I know u will, just throwing my 2c in. Benton, Alexandria, Paragould, Forest City, etc, all good places. Good people that just want a good life with little drama. Enjoy and wish you guys the best in your finds. Will love ya wherever you go

Need to explore around the Harrison in Omaha area that way you're only 20 minutes from Branson Missouri and depending where you're at if you're in Omaha you're 20 minutes from Harrison. Even Eureka Springs Berryville oh absolutely gorgeous place.

I lived in Arkansas for a little while, and the rain storms are unbelievable! I have never seen rain storms like I did in Arkansas . To the point I called it a wall of water. Arkansas is beautiful, but the rain storms are scary! I have a new fear of thunderstorms because of Arkansas and tornados because of living there for a few months . I lived about 45 minutes outside little rock.
