You hear all of the big name youtube "stars" complaining about youtube doing this and that, but channels like this is what makes youtube so great. I have no idea how youtube sent me down this rabbit hole to discover this beautiful truck man, but I am so glad it happened.

2:42 Pro tip. Get a multimeter with extended cables (long enough to go from to back on a truck). So multimeters have a function called a continuity check. Basically, you put em on either end of a wire and it'll tell you if it's a wire, or 2 wires (broke). Use the battery terminals as point A and move point B around. First the coils, then the starter motor, then the fuel pump, then the immobilizer, then the oil pump, compressor, then the ignition (starter motor, with key'd on and off). If those dont trip it, then your wiring should be good. If you want to test an electric component to see if it's electronics is smoked, you just test it on either end of it (pos + neg terminals), if it pings, you're good, if it dont, you found your problem. I work with electronics alot, trust me when I say, once you start using that continuity check feature, your life will become a whole lot simpler very fast.

dude watching you make these videos is just amazing for me... this is something i have wanted to do for so long i just don't have the money to afford to go on some crazy car project ideas i have but i hope that some day i will be able to but for now just watching you and i mean other people on you tube do this stuff really brings me enjoyment cause i got injured at work about 2 years back and so i don't really get to go out and do things like i use to anymore like ride my street bike and dirt bikes i pretty much have had to get rid of them all just so they don't sit around collecting dust i had dreams of like making motorcycle videos and doing car mod videos and then if i got the money to start working on junk cars and fixing them up stuff i even bought myself a Go Pro a couple months before i got injured and i made a couple videos of me riding my motorcycle but with no mic set up and then the injury happened.. i still hope one day i can save up some sort of money to start doing project cars but i really enjoy your videos and like i said they bring me a lot of enjoyment and help me pass the time and forget about the things in my life going that's not so great i wish i had friends like you guys because i would love helping and just laughing about the funny stuff :) thanks again Westen for the laughs... and ALSO... i keep hearing you say Garrett to your camera man haha funny thing is my Real name is Garrett :P lmfao so Hello!!! to a fellow Garrett!!! :)

Door stuff is an easy fix. Just bought me a 2008 Silverado from an action. Thought it was cool seeing your video come up. Replaced driver outer door handle and the lock tab on center arm rest. Motor just needed an O-ring in the oil pickup tub. Air was mixing with the oil making the lifters tic. Best buy, I sold the truck and made 6k profit!

Back when I was a young man, I always wanted to learn how to be a mechanic. However, after graduation from High School, I had no money for a trade school or college. I worked at a car dealership, detailing cars for over a year and then joined the military. I made a career from the military and retired after 20 years. I never did learn how to be a mechanic. My job was not to build and repair, rather to destroy and kill. I made it through Desert Shield/Desert Storm unhurt. Later, Operation Enduring Freedom got me. I'm now disabled for life. But, enough about me. I still love to watch other people work on vehicles. I also enjoy your personality. You seem like a really nice person and a guy I could relate with easily.
