@@motonisto I've put over 500k on my 97 heritage springer. And I bought a 2008 street Glide with the 110" tire shredder kit. Well technically I had another bagger 1st but 1st bike I bought new in 20 years I got rear ended on i 40 in Knoxville, woke up on a drunks hood. Pretty much walked away from it , lord was watching out for me that night

Another well done stylish moto bike completed. Rounding/grinding out the sharp lines on the fins adds to the smooth lines of the bike. Did you pull the motor in order to uniformly grind down the fins?
@motonisto

Nah, a 4.5 grinder wheel fits in there just right. But expect a lot of aluminum dust everywhere!

Sex on a stick! This is the best thing Harley never made! I absolutely love what you've done my man. Though I could never ride this, my neck doesn't go back far enough these days, due to crashing my mum's car 49 years ago. Sorry mutti. 😁

I'm sure I asked you before, but what tank is that? Norton? Dominator or Commando? We have an XLH1100, 1986. Once we get a tank, I'll make the seat. It's really difficult figuring out which tank will fit and if we get one from India, we'd have to send it back if it didn't fit. Lots of time, money and very not green! Thank you! 👩🏻🙏
@motonisto
@motonisto 2 ай бұрын
On the number 16 Sportster is a Norton Lyta tank also made in India, bought it for under 500. It should fit around the Harley engine and frame very well but you'll have to make mounts for the front and rubber support everything, otherwise aluminum will crack from vibration!

Speedo?, yeah, who needs the speedo anyway?
@motonisto
@motonisto 10 ай бұрын
After decades of riding I can estimate my road speed within a small margin. You KNOW when you're speeding! But alas, the tach RPM reading is constant with engaged gear and road speed, 3500rpm in top gear equals 70mph in this example. I'd rather know when I'm approaching red line and keep that engine happy.
@carlosgooglemaps94
@carlosgooglemaps94 10 ай бұрын
@@motonisto well, that's cool, and yes, I can tell (more or less) my speed without looking at the speedo but around town in my country it's full of speed traps (radars) with the limits going from 30 to 45 to 60 and 75 km/h so you need to be very aware of your speed because the tickets are huge $$$!!🤪
