niemann played here like alpha zero! he pushed his pawns into awkward squares, nullified black's development, pinned him down, and forced him to play exactly how he wanted, he even sacrificed his rook to further keep black confined. this game is not only a masterclass of chess but also a spectacular game to watch. true masterpiece.

Great idea on covering multiple games, i think two is the max. Gothamchess does like 4-8 games and the quality of the analysis is not as great. Edit: A lot of people hating on Gotham, that was not my intention as i enjoy his content as well, like his own tournament recaps. Gotham is just a different style no need to bash a member of the community. Please reconsider your opinion.

Nepo beat Firouzja with a 50 move prep line from an engine...shows how far ahead Magnus that he can somehow defeat players like Giri, Ding, Nepo and Fabi with their insane engine prep
@hirukashiro5995
@hirukashiro5995 Жыл бұрын
Magnus's endgame skill is crazy. He is sharp enough with a solid prep that he can't be beaten in early & middle game. But when a game reaches the endgame, there is when Magnus is the strongest. An engine prep usually will only give a tiny bit of advantage in the endgame, the problem is that Magnus endgame skill outclassed the others. So the whole prep making that tiny advantage in the endgame most of the time is useless vs Magnus since Magnus just outplay everyone in the endgame 😂

12:24 - 13:20 That was so hilarious, especially with Antonio's deadpan narration, I was laughing for the next 5 minutes. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I had to rewind the video to follow the game. Black tries to get his pawn out of the b-file three times to open a line for attack, and white says each time, "Nope!". In the end, black creates a safe haven for the white king, with one of _black's own pawns_ being used as a shield for the white king.

@@bluecocacola “Defeating” Magnus instantly put Hans over 2700. His subsequent losses in the tournament after additional security measures (meaningful or not) dropped him back below 2700, where I believe he remains today (Sep 17, 2022). He’s either the next great Champion who may change the game for the next 10 years OR he may fade. On one hand, he is still very young. I like the strategy of letting your opponent's march forward and then integrating them into your king's fortress. I won a very satisfying game a few months ago against a human, and he was perplexed what had gone wrong. I explained that his remaining pawn had effectively changed sides and was now blocking his other pieces from getting at my king. He had thought he was breaking down my defense, but instead I just integrated the pawn into my defense.

I am the equivalent of a NOOB… Did Hans continue to play like Alpha ZERO after the additional security measures were implemented? I would never cheat but I have a degree in Computer Science and years of experience. I am convinced that if I could get into an OTB tournament and overcame my nerves, I firmly believe I could get passed a security scan undetected with Stockfish 15. With enough training I also think I could record all moves and get my device to provide best move, random top 3 move, etc depending on how it was programmed. Since I am not a GM (an idiot compared to a GM), I would not be able to tell which of my moves look suspicious, or be able to follow the lines, or take over on my own. I always wondered what would happen if a talented GM was NUTS enough to risk his/her career even if risk was very low. No one likes it but technology is growing at an accelerated pace and at some point I don’t know how they can avoid intrusive security screenings to prevent someone who is both brilliant and willing to risk it all.

To me this was great fun to see and the commentary was excellent. It seems like a new age of chess is dawning. Not exactly anti positional but chess that has no principles other than dynamic play. Maybe we could call it ‘infinite’ chess?
