I think the most important thing we, as part of the pc building community, can do is to encourage people to build their own systems so they don't buy those overpriced ass prebuilts 😊😇

The thing is that alot of people don't want to go through that complicated process and are aware of how prebuilts are overpriced but they still prefer to pay extra just to not deal with a pc

Some of them are only $100 more than the cost of the products, which isnt bad. Building a pc can take an hour, $100 for labor isnt too much in my opinion if your feeling lazy

Honestly makes me feel confident in being able to upgrade in the future Was going to build my pc myself but got 25% off of a £899 build which was overall cheaper than buying each part myself (It had a bit of customisation which I took advantage off, best price to performance) But I feel worried about upgrading down the line when I dont have experience building pcs

@@gamertardguardian1299You will always get better pc if you build it yourself. Also you never know if a prebuild is actually built well, i had scenarios where even "experts" from large shopping stores didn't assemble dual channel ram and cpu fan properly. And for the last are you really out of your mind that you think building a pc is worth 100$. You western people are spoiled and lazy. My hourly wage in Serbia is 5$ and its considered excellent

True once I saw an $850 pre-built PC on Amazon. It contained a GT 710 and i7 4770 and lots of RGB. My God.... It had a 4.7 star rating. All a bunch of Fools!

Not to scare first time builders, but you will encounter problems you might no expect when building your pc, so I'll list down a few. Just for awareness. 1. Some pc cases have very limited cable management spot, so don't worry too much about making your pc looks good. As long as it can run. 2. Some case fits 120mm fans, while some fit 140mm fans. So keep that in mind when purchasing the case and fans separately. 3. Speaking about fans. The marketing picture can sometimes be misleading so check carefully if you're going for RGB fans. Look up guides for how to install fans of the brand that you want to buy, cause some brands have different ways to control the RGB, and plugging the fans into the wrong mobo header can damage it. 4. Do some extensive research about PSUs before you buy one for your build. PSUs aren't build equal, some of them might not have the connectors that you need for your other components. And look up PSU tierlist for tier C (and up) PSUs.

This is fine, I would only caution against using a single PCI-e power cable on a GPU if your GPU requires two power cables. Use two separate power cables to plug in your two GPU power sockets to avoid stressing one cable.

I’ve heard this but I’ve also heard it should be fine if your gpu draws less than 290 watts

@@OneNidim Depends on what the cable is rated as. If it's a 150W cable and the PCIe adds an additional 70W to the card, then a single cable will be drawing 70W more for 290W.

Currently building my first PC. The PSU (Corsair HX1000) came with 3 PCIE cables - would i use 2 of these to connect the PSU to the GPU (RTX 3080ti)? Also, I'm using 2TB M.2 SSD on the motherboard - am I right in thinking that this doesn't need any cables (unlike the "normal" kind of SATA SSDs?). Apologies for the noob questions!

Do the screws for the motherboard and power supply come with the product? Do I need to buy my own sata power cable and sata data cable?

The screws come with the PC case. Some Power supply units may come with their own screws. The SATA cable will come with the motherboard.

You'll need to refer to the motherboard manual for the specific key to press.

If I have an ssd that’s already been used for one build and already has windows installed, would there be an issue with reusing it in another motherboard?

I would first uninstall the drivers and motherboard-specific software. Then move the drive onto the new PC and install the drivers and software that is specific to the new hardware.
