No hate towards polaris here, they make some good motors. their jet skis just need some help to stay reliable.

On my 1994 Polaris SL750 with 130psi I switched out all of the stock grey lines with gates, installed the triple outlet fuel pump mod, primer bulb on fuel inlet, new oem rebuild kit for carbs, all gaskets, replaced the burnt out reeds with Boyseen american made ones and installed spacers to prevent premature reed failure at WOT (standard addition with earlier models). Along with later rebuilding the starter and rebuilding the jet pump assembly. It lasted 180hrs on the stock setup but I would consider the above to avoid problems on the water

What’d you make the spacer with? And how thick should it be

I have a SLT 780 luckily these came with the triple outlet fuel pumps! Lol that's actually where the replacement one you're talking about putting on yours comes from. Is the SLT 780. Second, the oil injection pumps in these are actually very dependable! It's the lines that go to the pump thay end up going and not getting oil to the motor. People need to change them since these machines are all 20+ years old now. But most people don't change them then get surprised when engine blows. Usually a line not the oil pump. Also it will use way more oil when using. These pumps have a actuator on them that saves oil when at lower rpm it actually mixes less with the gas. But premix is burning the same amount of oil all the time. EVERYONE REPLACE YOUR FUEL LINES AND OIL FEED LINES, GREASE YOUR FITTING ON THE BEARING ON DRIVESHAFT!

The genius is they are variable delivery. So you burn a LOT less oil if you keep the stock arrangement. I love pulling into the gas docks with a little smoke boiling out. "Hey man...your ski is smoking!" Yeah...I hope so. I add a little Benol to the synth...just to hook the old guys.

The fuel pump you are correct on however the Mikuni oil pump is very dependable and the number one thing that blows these two stroke engines up on most if not all jet skis is pressure leaks on your fuel system that is the number one thing that leans out the back cylinders

@@jordanrivera4244 never delete the oil pumps they are made by Mikuni they are very good it is the oil lines that fell and you better do a pressure check and make sure your carburetors are all dialed in or you will create a lien condition and blow up the ski because you were in a hurry to ride it

They do make oil pump block off kits but I just decided to block off the outlets on the oil pump and just use the pump it’s self as a block off. And I’m not 100% sure about the Polaris twins fuel pump, I would guess that they are ok being that the fuel doesn’t have to travel as far as a triple but don’t quote me on it. Hope this helps.

@@isaacfinneyoutdoors411 the pump is a basic design used for many years in sled and watercraft...it is not known to fail on polaris...more than likely broke line or no oil in the jug ...most people blame all engine failures on oil pump...99 percent are lack of fuel from lack of maintenance and dirty plugged carbs.
