2 Way passive Crossover Network || 12 dB per octave

3 жыл бұрынThis video is for showing easy method of making a 2 way Crossover network of 12 dB per octave slope. The cross over frequency is at 3000 Hz. The component values are calculated accordingly.
For making the inductor coils small plastic bobbins are available in the market. If the bobbin is not found, the coil can be wound on a ½ inch x 1 inch pipe. Ferrite cores are better for inductor coils. If not available, small pcs of soft iron cores can be used as shown in the video.
For commercial models, components can be mounted on a small PCB.

Sir Will the overall resistance change when given the 8ohm woofer and 8ohm tweeter on this 12db Active crossover? Will the total impedance be 4ohm? Similarly, when you give 10 ohm resistor to Tweeter, will the impedance change?

Inductance of coil changes with thickness of copper wire. Accordingly the impedance will change.

Resistor is added to the tweeter for adjusting the output level. 10 ohms resistor is better for dome tweeter.

For 4 ohm speaker inductor value is half and capacitor value is doubble. Power handling of this circuit is 200 watt.

These capacitors are available in electronic components shops. Ask for metalised polyester capacitor.

Due to less work in regular circuit these capacitors are not available in our electronics market. so please give me link or provide this capacitor. I found non polar electrolytic capacitor in place of this polyster capacitor.... Thanks...
