i never had this before but i feel like it would be a "custardy" creamy flavor (egg+sugar)? i would totally try it !

If you're iffy about the raw eggs, you can cook the egg yolk slowly using the Bain Marie method (double boiler). Just whisk it with the sweetened condensed milk first and continue to whisk while heating it over the bain marie. The mixture will whip up fine and will be more safe to consume.

Yes, the Vietnamese egg coffee!! I hear it tastes like tiramisu in a cup. :) The other one is interesting...I would think they'd add some citrus to it as well...or maybe that's just me. :)

hahah it does!! you could dip lady fingers in there and have a deconstructed one. heheh orange zest would go so well in the egg cream! i think it'd taste so good too.

I'm curious if you have tried it with a soda? Like making it with Sprite or something, do you think that would be okay? ^_^

@@LaikasFriend I wouldn’t mix it with a sprite. It’s typically with a plain club soda or sparkling water, condense milk, and a egg yolk. Very simple but yummy. 😊

Yummm, I make it drink i grew up with, u add egg yoke and sugar, blend, than a add a GOYA Malta and drink, its so good, I going to try the coffee that looked amazing , thanks again for ur recipes 😊 😄

I don't drink coffee at all but when I went on a family trip to Vietnam I tried the egg coffee and it is DELISH. So creamy and silky and STRONG. I guess the western palette is missing out if they think it's gross :P I haven't had soda trung but I'd be down to try it for sure!

I will definitely try the egg yoke and coffee. I’m not sure I would try the egg yolk with condensed milk Ana’s soda though.

I am from Louisiana so Cafe Du Monde coffee isn’t that strong since I grew up on it but I noticed it’s high for those cans outside of Louisiana.

For the Vietnamese coffee is there substitutions for those of us who don’t drink coffee? It sounds good. Would this work with hot chocolate? :) The Egg Soda sounds interesting. I am intrigued and weirded out a bit but fascinated too. Would be willing to try it once!

I love egg soda!!!! For those who think the egg yolk is 'gross' - you're basically making a custard so....not gross :p

Exactly! I mean. They drink eggnogg. Some like their egg sunny side. This drink is no difference. The Western usually like to cause drama over anything they consider “exotic”.

To get that orange yolk, always buy pasterraised eggs preferably organic. Pasterraised eggs are from chickens that get to roam outside and eat natural earth foods like worms. Those are the most healthy and humanely raised chickens out there. Don’t be fooled by ‘Cage free’. Non organic eggs are from GMO corn fed chickens.

If the non-organic farmer feeds carotine, the yolk gets orange too, without the chicken seeing grass or sun ever. That's no sign for animal welfare. But of course, the other way round, always support the best possible method of rearing, not only because of york colour.

I love raw eggs, but don’t really eat them here in the US though. However, whenever im in Japan, it’s raw eggs galore for me 🤪 “dont yuck my yum”

Not so unusual, Puerto Rican Coquito (eggnog) typically has a raw egg as a binder.

There will hardly be any eggy taste. The only thing the egg will do is give the coffee and Soda a creamier flavor and a more smoother texture.

Ewww…. I wouldn’t do either one. The raw egg grossed me out.
