Hey Jon! A >25k Sub-Follower here - great to see the old Leica set-up coming back again! I think another element that would really make this VLOG feel like a good old-school VLOG would be a run-through through your purchase! It is amazing to see that you got a bunch of stuff but the camera nerds are really interested in what you got exactly and why you got each thing! Looking forward to the upcoming adventures 🙌🏼

Great to see the Leica quality again, there's a certain magic no other camera seems to have, even if it has less features. I still remember when you did the Sony/Leica test, the quality difference blew me away. I think you had around 50K subscribers back then!

@@YariJaluff Nah you’re right. Either the guy operating the camera did something wrong or it’s the lens. My money is on the lens. Leica is BIC when it comes to photography but there’s a reason no one use it for moving pictures. Leica is not (and are probably not even aiming towards) being competitive when it comes to shooting video. But since it’s KZfaq I guess you’re aiming towards a cool and unique look which the Leica will capture. Would love to see Jon trying out real cinematography lenses rather than photography lenses.

@@artofniki6439 Totally agree. We will see in the next Vlog. Hope the best for this new equipment. Would love to know everything they bought. I remember the old days with Marcus and the (huge) RED camera. IQ was insane. But of course carry that was a pain in the ass. Love to see Jon again active!

@@artofniki6439 @Art of Niki A lot of the Leica look, is in the glass, the lenses have a softer look and generate more lens flair which can look awesome, but sometimes can be an issue. The RED was an underkill in my opinion, you simply can't vlog with a slow, awkward cinema camera for vlogging. You end up missing out on too much. Look forward to seeing the new Leica footage.

@@artofniki6439 Camera guy is awful, but the camera itself has bad auto focus hunting/breathing and rolling shutter. The A7SIII is the better camera(for their purposes). This was a bad move.

Sorry but i don't see the fascination with Leica. It may be good to take pictures but for video, the auto focusing is horrible, stabilization is sub par, and it seems the contrast is hard to control especially when you open up the lense to get more depth of field. There is a reason you switched from Leica to Canon and then Sony. I hate to not provide positive comments but i don't see this lasting, however i am glad it is giving you more incentive to film.

Remember all Leica vlogs, especially when it started with Markus in Sweden. Unfortunately for Leica with Canon and Sony being leading mirrorless systems it’s hard to compete outside of (Leica look advantage) Rolling shutter on SL2 is something else especially when using dynamic movements. Will still enjoy the vlogs

The SL2s looks awful. Gross rolling shutter, focus breathing/hunting. This video felt like a cry for attention and click bait title. The A7SIII is the superior camera. It's almost as if he's trying to throw as much money at a camera as possible to make up for the fact that his current camera guy is no where close to the level of the Benni.
