Our first trip of the year did not disappoint.
The White Horse Inn at Sibton in Suffolk has a CL at the rear and is ideally located for visiting the some of the best parts of the county.
We spent Valentines there and apart from the rain, it was a fab trip.
You will need to be a member of the CAMC to stay here but below is a link to their website.

Hi there Dave & Helen, Good to see you back out in the caravan again. Not the best February we’ve ever had, quite bleak and wet, but yes the blossom is out and spring will be with us soon. A nicely spaced out CL in a lovely setting and great views from your caravan windows. Nice to see the sea again and Gail liked the look of Aldeburgh Main shopping Street very much 👍. Hi Helen and Dave, in January 2024 we asked if you had any recommendations for seasonal pitches in Suffolk and sent us some recommendations we now have a seasonal pitch at cakes and ale which isn't too far from the white horse pub so we will give it a try when in Suffolk. Also will recommend the cl site to friends who will be visiting in the summer. So very pleased that you have given us these recommendations. Hi Helen & Dave, we really like your videos and I watch them to find interesting destinations in the UK. We see you walking a lot but sadly this is a problem for my wife. So we are looking for campsites where we can use our pushbikes. We are caravaners from Germany and your videos help a lot.

There are generally some really good cycle paths/lanes at a lot of these sites and we are always mindful of how many people come away with their bikes, especially Motorhomers and those with camper vans. We found a nice little campsite behind the Red Lion in Needham nr Harleston nice little site with about 10-12 pitches does have a small facilities building great beer and food served at the pub

We have a Ridge Monkey as well but find it too small for making breakfasts easily. We also have a SQ Professional clam pan, same idea but bigger, it was only £29.99 from that nice Mr Bezos.

They were busy with lambing and we were lucky enough to be the only ones there. Weren't those biscuits absolutely delicious Helen! A new follower here Helen & Dave. For years we've been..... Motorhomers.....sorry is that a bad word here? 😂. We sold that a few year back and bought a lovely modern static (or lodge as they prefer to call them now 🤔) in the stunningly beautiful North Pennines AONB. Though we love it I've missed the travelling. We're keeping the static as family can use that as and when, but just this week I've taken the plunge and purchased our first caravan 🎉. . Nice start to the season, a nice toasty caravan to relax in at this time of year, cannot beat it, even in summer IMO. We like those types of CL and £20 with EHU, a real bargain these days, good find. Trust Helen to put her foot in it on your behalf 🤣🤣🤣💩 Starting out ourselves in a couple of weeks.

You are so lucky living in Norfolk as you are directly next to Suffolk, a far better, more beautiful county which enables you to escape and enjoy a more sophisticated population 😂. That CL looks a great find and as you said it’s well situated for exploring north and mid Suffolk. Next time pop over to nearby Dennington and try Ed Sheeran’s pub The Queen. You may even see Ed as he lives in the village. Can’t wait for our first outing. Happy travels 👍

@@HelenandDave You did have a fine Football Team but Town have now returned after many years absence. I believe you are currently 18 points behind us, in other words we need to lose six on the trot and you need to win six just to draw level. On a serious note you are so well placed for great sites without travelling too far from home. It’s very good location. I’m Suffolk born but now live in Lincolnshire. Don’t forget your promise to clean my caravan (and car ) from a previous post ! Our first outing is delayed until April unfortunately, a first time visit to the Lake District. If ever we cross paths you can cook breakfast, just love a bacon or sausage sandwich. 😋👍

Morning Dave, I am currently looking at your Amazon shop, I am looking at the rusty nut covers 😅 When adding to my basket, it is defaulting to 17mm but I am sure you said on the vlog they are 19mm. Wondering if you can just confirm the size please. I am also ordering the vuplex. Thanks Paul

yes, there should be a little box next to the picture which you can click (on the right I think) which gives you the option to click 19mm. Let me know if you cannot see it and I'll send you another link.

Hi Dave And Helen I enjoyed you vlogg. But one question in an earlier vlogg you said you were not going to rejoin the caravan and Motorhome club ,so what changed your mind?

Hi Pauline, thanks for watching, always appreciated. We didn’t say we wouldn’t rejoin, what we said was we will have to seriously consider renewing our membership when it becomes due again in July 2024. We have fallen out of favour with the larger sites, they’re all very much the same but we do enjoy CL’s and some of the more individual and unique sites. We were unhappy with the treatment we had received at one site from the wardens acting like school teachers reacting to naughty pupils!! We also find the 1pm arrival a bit annoying but mainly again it’s more about how you are treated by SOME wardens when you arrive 10 minutes early after a long journey. So we have not reached our renewal time yet but it’s likely we will rejoin just to continue using CL sites. We still think the CAMC have to work much harder when it comes to customer service and more recently the appalling IT situation. Bit long winded sorry and thanks again for watching. Helen & Dave 👍

Hello, thanks so much for watching and thanks for your comment. I should have spelled this out, so apologies. CL stands for Certified Location. Small independent sites can join the caravan and motorhome club and register their sites with the club as a certified location. The camping and caravan club do this too and they are known as CS's.
