Dined at Sambos when visiting my cousin in Georgia. Never dined at Valle’s but saw the commercials when I was about 9, 10, 11 and the lobster made my mouth water (I was not a vegetarian then. Became one at 20.)

Howard Johnson’s was mentioned in Judy Blume’s classic novel IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. The Newman family was dining there in the scene where older brother Jeff ran away

59-years old in here in South Florida, As a kid, and young adult, I remember Sambo's (which was converted to a Denny's), Lum's, Steak and Ale, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Howard Johnson's, Chi Chi's, Valle's.

I really miss Cheeseburger in Paradise. When it opened near me, the food was great. Then it was sold, and went downhill. Now it's gone. :(

I think the blond lady in the blue t shirt in the red barn commercial clip - the author of the Garden of Eatin’ line- is the lovely Loni Anderson

I remember going to restaurants such as Lyon's, Sambo's, and the Peppermill. Sadly, the above-mentioned restaurants are not in business anymore. My parents took me and my sister there when we were young after church or when they wanted an inexpensive meal.
