I finally started a journal. I was diagnosed with Parkinson Disease last October at the age of 47. I have a tendency to keep everything bottled up inside...which is not good for anyone. Once it gets to a certain point it boils over and cry...cry...cry.... body and mind too toxic and need to let out steam...hence the days I call Pressure Cookers....today is one of those days....too much all at once and all of a sudden I'm crying my way to work... came in and brain dumped into my journal. Better to get it out now than on Monday at my Neurology appointment...after watching some of your videos Tina...I finally did it... Thank you thank you thank you.....

How about making a journal for a loved one who has passed or lives far away. Write in it when: you think of them, miss them so much that you would do anything to see them again, something you would normally say to them first, or just as a birthday presents for a loved one who you wont be seeing for awhile.

I wrote an email to a loved one who passed unexpectedly. I like to think he can see it from Heaven. Putting it in a notebook would be wonderful too. I felt so free after writing him and I let go a lot of guilt I had been having over his death. He hadn't been looking well the week of his death. I didn't try hard enough to get him to go to the hospital. He hated hospitals. I wish I had just called an ambulance regardless. Apologizing made me feel so much better.

This is a great idea!!! I have so many (I can't even count them) empty notebooks that I just keep buying (because I'm obsessed) and the sea re great ideas!!! I never really thought of how many different types of journals there can be, thank you so much for this video! Could you talk more about vision boards? How do you make one? Do you use them? What could you use them for?

Vision boards are usually a bit like a collage. You could use them for goal setting by helping you visualise what you want to achieve (lots of pictures representing your goals), or making sense of yourself and what you value (pictures that represent these things). You could even make a vision board for a character you want to make up. I hope that helps a bit ^_^

I have a dori with three inserts: a general diary, one for my health and what I eat, one to keep track of my crafts. I need to make a diary for my cat lol (vet appointments, medicine, flea treatment, etc.).

I was wondering - do you have different journals for different things? I've made one journal to sort of encompass everything, but that may be a little too much for just one space.. for example I'm writing lists alongside timetables, sketches, scrapbooking pages, morning pages, inspiring quotes etc.

Pearl Moonga there's a lot of ways to set up a mental health log/journal. But the most important is to be brutally honest with what you write. 1. There are journal prompts for mental health on Pinterest. 2. Make your own journal prompts. Like 'how do I feel today'. And then keep asking why. Really get to the root cause of your feelings/emotions that affect you. 3. Keep it unstructured and just write everything so you don't bottle up anything. These are just a few examples, I hope you'll find one that works best for you :)
