On November 9th, 2022, officers responded to an altercation. The caller advised that his girlfriend had taken a lot of unprescribed pills. She said it was an accident, but the caller insisted that she did it because of an argument they had about co-parenting. Since the officers were unable to find the pills anywhere, they decided to take her to the hospital for a checkup. The female left the officers no choice but to arrest her. She continued to argue her side and repeated that she didn’t do anything. The female was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated battery upon a peace officer.

Pretty sure that’s one of the medics that took me to the hospital after I had a seizure at work a couple years ago. Real good guy! So was the rest of the team…we have some excellent paramedics in this community!

There was a woman who kept actually taking pills like this just to pretty much get her way into things mostly lithium, etc and had reported one incident of this before and she also would cut herself at the thighs for attention until one day it backfired so badly she was found dead over an overdoes. At the time I made said report and they came this other dude thought that they were called for him which later he would be found the same way in a vacant apartment in the projects the same way after being booted out of a place for making threats and a mess which is why he made said threats. Still have the photos of what was going on during that before he almost caused one guy a heart attack which I also had the paramedics out for and a photo of me getting an award for it where their company later wanted me to no longer be on their property probably because I would report the things they did that lead up to these issues like they were suppose to as they are suppose to keep in contact with peooles doctors but would hand select who they would keep contact with and who they would file missing persons reports on. They even had room fires that they weren't notified of until someone said something and their volunteers need to be screened as many times pills went missing.

A police officer in my state can do a 72hr mental hold on anyone by signing a statement that they are a danger to themselves or others. I have not seen it be abused, but it clearly could.

I want to be very clear. Bad actors like this are why there is close to no sympathy left when you actually make it into the MH system. Providers who willingly try to help those in crisis face this on good days… yet people say those places are just full of inhumane assholes. Sertraline is the generic name for Zoloft. If she took a bunch of SSRIs then she has a big issue. Not really all that common to abuse something like that in my experience. She seems very coherent until she has a meltdown. I don't think she took anything. I think she was trying to manipulate him into doing something she wanted by threatening to overdose on something.

I just commented the same thing. Taking a bunch of SSI at once is very serious. Even taking a little could be serious depending on the person. There's a reason why she was prescribed Sertraline. She has mental health problems and the cops needed to be called to stop her from harming herself.

My mom has bipolar disorder and I’ve seen her on and off her meds and she can turn into a completely different person. Those meds are nothing to joke about taking in excess.

Usually if someone is actually in crisis, they’re just gonna take the pills without telling anyone. Loudly threatening to take pills while in the middle of a fight with the father of your child is a manipulation tactic. Two things can be true at once, she needs help for other mental illness related problems and she’s also trying to manipulate this dude.

This was devastating to her ego and need to control everything. She's used to controlling everyone around her. Threatening to OD to control the boyfriend, and I'm sure that started long ago to family members. Blaming her "bipolar" for fighting the police, and gaslighting everyone. Once she couldn't get her way with the officers, all that was left was to scream and throw a tantrum like a 3 year old.
