Have to say this...You remind me of a guy I served with in the Army Infantry, in the 60's...My roomy, when and if we were lucky enough to be in a barracks....Damn good guy....Antonio Dragoon...Called him Monte....If your out there bud, thanks for being a friend and to the man making this...Thanks again for the film.

Great video. Just one point that was left out. Most sensors come with a small tube of anti-seize. If you want to be able to remove them in the future, you should apply the supplied anti-seize to the threads. If the sensor didn't come with anti-seize then get some and apply it to the threads before installing the new sensor.

thanks for the vid very helpful. there was a lot of room under there - you might try a breaker bar to make it easier with a socket instead of resorting to a pipe wrench. i can only imagine how horrible to break off the old o2 sensor in there

It helps if u warm up the exhaust either running the vehicle or with heat gun

Avoid touching the new oxygen sensor tip, with your fingers. It will sometimes damage the sensors avoid any contaminants .

SURELY THEY DIDN'T ALL GO BAD AT THE SAME TIME . . . DID THEY?? I have to replace the one in the back, the down stream. That's the only one coming up with my code.

I am from Iraq, we own a 2000 model suv astro, we suffer from a severe shortage of spare materials for Astro vans, and we do not have a sensor sensor in the market. Can we clean the sensor in the car and reuse it?

How I KNow IF I have to replace censor 1 bank 2 and bank 1 if it been replace passengers side new and still shows those 2 censors what does that cause

Hi rustan, a vehicle engines that have a bad oxygen sensor often run irregularly or roughly. Oxygen sensors can control or contribute to many different engine functions, including fuel/air mixture, engine timing and engine combustion intervals. A faulty oxygen sensor can disrupt any of these things and cause a rough engine idle.

The two upstream sensors usually fail around the same time, so if one is bad it's smart to replace both. Once you replace those, if the service engine soon light doesn't go out, then it must be the downstream one

The code is different for each sensor so if you have it run at Autozone or Oreilly you can just google the code and it will tell you which "bank" is failing.

Damn funny....The video was good, but I was wondering too, just why and how did this guy use one hand, especially on the coupling...I know he was filming and probably holding the camera with the other, but I still love the wise cracking comment...Shows humor happens everywhere.

Hi Winfield If you have to change the number 3 spark plug on the driver side by removing the front wheel it should be the second one you see. It is recommended to change all six spark plugs, all spark plug cables and rotor cap. Let me know if I can be of any help. Good luck and God bless.

There's no such a thing as a 'BANK 3' - only bank 1 or bank 2. The one that you are referring to as "bank 3" is called the downstream O2 sensor, which is for emissions.

Sometime your check engine light will come on it would tell you change out oxygen sensor

OKBAOK my van has 230,000 plus miles on original engine and 70,000 miles on transmission (replaced).

Were the sensors you took out original, factory, 230,000 miles on them? Pretty good video. Blasting all those exhaust related anything with penetrating oil, along with soak for a while, can really help thanks, keep up the movie-making, doin' good! OBJuan6
