On the road right now, trying to get this posted, got about 5-6 mods I’ll be doing at once, but will break it down into different videos, before I do everything I gotta see what my boost is right now with current set up, plus the up pipe is leaking.

I am so glad to see someone else keeping an ol' 7.3 ZF6 alive and kicking! A manual transmission is vastly superior to an automatic in heavy duty trucks like this.

2001 f350 2wd srw with 360k miles. Edge tuner, deleted ebpv and banks intake. Glowshift boost gauge with recall function has me at 18lbs boost on my 1st test drive. I'm willing to bet I can hit 20lbs with the trailer in tow.

You are going to run into the same problem I had when you route your lines and cables intonthe cab, cause we have 6 speeds. When I did my boost and pyro I ran them behind the foil on the firewall. There is a plug there that comes out by the throttle pedal (I assume for a cable for the gassers). It was tricky but it is clean and works, for now. I'm planning on punching a hole by the brake booster when I add the hpop and fuel pressure gauge. I have alot of mods, but not enough yet.

@FixItNick did ur turbo sound kinda choppy and not a consistent whistle when u had the up pipe leaks? Did the turbo sound any different after u replaced the pipes thanks

Nice! I need to probably put a boost gauge on mine. I think I am maxing out the stock sensor.

What’s the stock sensor boost do you know? Would boost fooler help bypass that or only a tuner can?

FixItNick from what I’ve read it seems like the stock sensor is good to around 20 psi maybe a little more. Not positive on that though. Most I’ve seen is 21 I think. As for boost fooler I am pretty sure my tuning has it already programmed in. With my trucks setup I think I should be seeing closer to 25, but I’ve never seen it go that High and I’ve never had it trip a CEC. I would like to see my numbers on an aftermarket sensor or gauge.

Did you ever figure out a better spot to put your boost line though I have a Manual 7.3 that I'm about to put gauges in and I cant find a decent spot to run stuff threw the firewall

@@FixItNick ahhh I was thinking of going though there but I'm kinda nervous with it being so close to the steering. I'm getting ready to install boost, egt, fuel pressure, and probably hpop gauges in mine and really wasnt trying to drill a hole in my firewall if I can help it

@@tony45292 yea I was to but the steering tube is round and it’s against. Rubber ring so it’s won’t run through. But I was also thinking to drill a small hole and install one of those rubber grommets from like autozone kits

So you disconnected a existing connection for the boost guage line. What us disconnected? Seems odd to eliminate somthing already there, ehich usually has a function to begin with...

@@pilot3016 don’t get pissy with me I’m just tell you what he said bc you didn’t listen he deleted it because it’s not needed and ran a boost line to it for the boost gauge . A lot of things have a function but not always needed like power steering or abs units

@@Tonka_6.7 OH.. Some things are not needed. They are put there at the factory, but obviously just to waste time on the assembly line. After 20 years installing equipment into 2.5 million dollar lithographic printing presses worldwide...I learned... You have about a 5% chance of being smarter than the engineer who designed it.

Hey buddy. Have you checked to see if oil pressure switch is leaking at all ????? I know my switch leaked and made a mess. I just figured since you were in that area you might take a look. Truck looks and sounds great !!!!

Sure wish someone would show "where and how" to attach a turbo boost sensor WITHOUT disconnecting other items. Some of us don't want to cannibalize their truck system !!!!
