I’m 20 years old and just bought a 98 Boxster.... for the second time. My first one wasn’t in particularly good condition so I found another one. When you said “I need a Porsche in my life” I felt exactly what you were saying. I’ve always been a Toyota guy... and I still have my two other cars, but I had to go out and buy a Boxster just to have it. It’s like I was longing for the car.

Nice review but a few points, Boxer is the engine, BoxSter is the car. And the "4 cd player" below the radio is just a storage for 4 cd:s

Probably not the weather for it but you really need to drive through a decent set of corners to really appreciate a 986 Boxster. Provided the suspension is in good shape they are truly epic.

I love my 986 Boxster S! At 23, it is the perfect first Porsche and it really was the bug bite! As long as I am in a position to have a Porsche, I will and I credit that to my gorgeous little 986!

Fantastic review. I completely agree with you in regards to the 986 being “enough Porsche for me.” as much as I would love a 911, that 911 tax would also kick my a55. Again, what a fantastic portion 986 review brother.

good job bro i have a 2000 boxster 2.7 did the ims myself runs like a champ ok so since i love your video here's some words of advice from a 20yrs boxster owner yep had my boxster since 1999 new!! and i still have it!!! first if you guys are looking and wanna buy one of these go 1998 to 2000 those years had the double row ims bearing less than 2percent fail rate just change it out when u do the clutch easy. from 2001 to 2006 u have the single row bearing and those are the risky years if u see one in those years and u wanna buy it buy it but drive it strait to sombody that can help u change the ims bearing ASAP!!! then after that your gonna have a blast just get that done. they are ver very reliable. mine has 200k on her and mine can still spin the tires off the line. ok the crank in this car is bullet proof can handle anything lots of tourqe so the rod bearings ... do not use 0w40 or 5w anything use a synthetic 15w40 its perfect it wont thin out and it keeps the rod bearings in check lol thats all i use. trust me you dont wanna be racing a srt v8 and spin a bearing cuz the oil thinned out. and at that point your doin about 140mph right on that v8s bumper also switch out your water pump every 2 yrs even if it dosent need it do it! i have driven my car to florida from michigan 3 times in one month it didnt miss a beat never left me stranded. love my car. and they still turn heads not bad for a 21 year old car.
