I’m having the same problem with my 2004 Forester x right now. I just came across your video while trying to do some KZfaq diagnosis to see if anyone else had the same problem and it looks like the gas is coming right from that area. Thank you for posting this. I think it will be helpful in my diagnosis.

That looks to be the issue, my man. Thank you!! But you know, I’m having a problem getting the rubber hose off on the other side of that metal fuel line way underneath the car. The clamp is upside down to begin with 😂 I really don’t want to take any of the other hoses off to get to it. Wondering if you had any recommendations. Thanks again

I have a 1999 Subaru Forester that does the same thing. I smell gas inside the cab or in the car, so I'm going to remove the back seat and replace my old hose the one that's leaking, thank you for the video I had no idea where it was located

@@WRXDEMON Dont think i had P0457 Cant remember .I used tactrix to remove my secondary airpump and deleted some code might had it. The code comes when you got EVAP system problem and i think this is one ;)

I have a 1994 Subaru Legacy that is leaking fuel in the same spot, I did replace the rotted line with rubber fuel hose. Subaru fuel line size isn't 1/4 it's an odd size 5/16. I used four fuel injection clamps two for each side. Anyways I tighten all of them up, I had no leak. I turned the car off then I started it back up and formed another leak on the feed side further up toward the gas tank. My guess the steel line routed up on top of the tank had split open. I could rig a bypass feed line inside the car with a long piece of rubber fuel hose and be done with it. For a winter beater I think it'll work.

I have a 2003 Forester X that has a raw fuel smell in the cabin only. Originally had a P0457 code (large fuel evap emission leak) and I pulled all of the vacuum lines in the car under the hood and around the charcoal canister looking for an answer to the fuel smell. After pulling all the lines and reattaching them I turned the car back on and the code cleared. Still have a fuel smell though, especially with stop-go short trips. Gonna take a look under the rear seats and see if this is the issue. Thanks for the video!

So after taking a look at everything (for the 100th time lol) the lines under the back seats were still solid and no leaking. I did see that where the fuel filler neck meets a rubber hose that goes to the gas tank had a little leak, so I loosened the hose clamp, made sure it had plenty of rubber over the metal neck, and tightened the sucker back up. Cleaned it up with some brake cleaner and so far so good!

Brandon Grant check your filter up under the hood on right side of looking under the hood mine would come lose there occasionally three lines up there

Hello I have a 2005 Forster and it's leeking out of the same line has the same hose same 3 line comeing up outta the floor ... I am wandering what size line did you use to fix this issue I wanna get some hose and fix mine thanks
