Tools needed - 30mm, 21mm, 15mm deep sockets, blue loctite front- strut to control arm nut - 350 ft lbs, tie rod - 111 ft lbs, upper strut bolts (x3) - 30 ft lbs rear strut to control arm nut - 295 ft lbs - tie rod - 41 ft lbs, upper strut bolts (x3) - 26 ft lbs

Very nicely done. Your option to fast forward some parts in the video helped to lower the total overhead and resulted in a compressed version yet still showed how it is done DIY. Moreover, the use of air tools combined with the use of pry bars made it easier to finish the job. Well done.

The torque specs seem high. Online it says rear lower strut bolt should be 75lb

Hey there, we’re converting from airbags in, so don’t have the old struts to compare to maybe a silly question, but which strut so you’re saying is larger in diameter , the front or the back

Typically the front will be bigger because they hold more weight than the rear.

These are O'Reilly house brand struts. I use them a lot on many vehicles. I've had mostly good results with them but a few times I've noticed defects that needed to be exchanged for new ones.

Can just the shock be replaced w/o removing the spring?

No, the spring is part of the strut assembly. They have to be removed together.

These are house brand struts from the local auto parts store.

2:53 all that play up and you move the camera out of the way and not show it come out?! I feel robbed. You took something from me there. That was disappointing.
