Various ratchets about 6" with extensions 6", a couple of u joints for tight angles.

I just did this just and didn’t need to remove front drive shaft or mess with the front diff.

Nice video but i just did mine 03 yukon denali awd & all i did was loosen up driver side motot mount jack up engine about 1-2 inches & i was able to fish it in from the front. Dont need to do all this work

Thanks for this. Did you have to remove the bolts on the passenger side of the differential too to get it to drop?

Future reference: Yes, Use impact 21mm deep socket. Will need to remove the 2 nuts on the passenger side diff. Install: Screw these on securely but loose to allow play for the install of both main differential bolts. Use 1/2" drive 21mm impact short socket with a universal for the driver side diff bolts. Save $300+ DIY repair.

Oh it’s so funny when a damn ratchet and socket won’t get onto a bolt the first time….gotta laugh because only have a small amount of ratchet to hold onto lol
