Great video man! I bought that expensive $100+ harness for my avalanche.. wish I would have seen this video back then but oh well.. I’ll save a bit of money on the duramax this time. Just bought everything from the description other than the head unit. Thanks for including links! 👍

Bless you for this before i ended up buying a bunch of unnecessary and expensive stuff for the harness!

I know that for Pioneer, Kenwood, & JVC; if you just ground the green wire to the chassis of the radio tou dont need that $5 part. That is needed to "delay" the park brake "signal" to the radio so you can use it like you said you wanted. Some radios require that delay, but the radios i mentioned above do not. That is true as of 2014-2020 radios made by those manufacturers.

Did you end up connecting the Orange and Blue wire with white stripe to the harness of the Pioneer?

I have this head unit installed on an 03 Tahoe. When I press the the button on the steering wheel that shows the "speaking" logo (i think its for onstar) it powers down my head unit. What does this button do on yours ?
@MJAltairy3 жыл бұрын
I have since sold the truck but i don’t remember it powering down the headunit. If i can recall, i think it would switch between the different modes of the headunit (Bluetooth, radio)

Off topic but I’ve got to ask, which aftermarket key fob is that? Haven’t quite found the right one other than boost auto variant, but yours appears to have a “remote start” independent button.. As opposed to hitting the lock button twice.. Thanks!
@MJAltairy3 жыл бұрын
Oh it’s an aftermarket keyfob that came with the remote starter. He gave me the option to use the factory key or program separate remotes. I opted for the separate remotes

@MJAltairy3 жыл бұрын
@@drewlehman9184 I actually had it installed at one of those “aftermarket sound” stores. I don’t really remember the brand of it but i think you need a special programming tool or license to get it working. I could be wrong though.
