2004 Bentley Continental GT Review!
This is a 2004 Bentley Continental GT, a car that originally cost over $385,000 dollars before options now is worth around the same as a well equiped Mazda CX9!!! come check it out with me as i go over the whole car and let you know what a 15 year old bentley looks and feels like to drive..

I am going to pull the trigger on a low mile 2006, I think the risk is worth the reward. I am determined to do most of my own maintenance as I currently do on two older Mercedes, and two 911 Turbos. Obviously , pulling the motor to replace a starter would be the end for me, but I am confident, that can’t be too common a problem. As long as the motor and transmission are as solid as opinions indicate, I think I could handle regular service and the occasional component failure. The car I am buying only has 8k miles, and was kept in A/C, and regularly serviced in spite of the low miles. Wish me luck!

The maintenance cost of these cars is eye-watering. That's why they're 'cheap'. For example if you need a new alternator or starter motor, it's engine out time.

I have a 2008 continental GT and a 2007 flying spur just done a load of work on the GT $32k nzd engine out new front air shocks and full service.worth every cent

My Bentley continental GT get 49. to 100 At start up after 10 minutes 11 to hundred. $150 to fill 98 Premium . They are an Exhilarating car to own . My last service at Bentley Melbourne $1340 . They are Great people there .

He is talking Australian Dollars not U.S. so some of you need to realize that $25,000 to $50,000 U.S. is about $55,000 to $110,000 Australian dollars. In Melbourne they average $68,000 to $75,000 for a 2005 model in excellent condition. Servicing, an oil change including filters is $1,795.oo per year. New plugs about $3,000.oo. However you can get a normal service as per the book at a private mechanic for about $500.oo

Sounds like you have one. I'm in melbourne and was thinking of one a bit later on. The fear is the potential repairs. I have an e500 coupe now which i love.

@@bfarmer1647 I don't own one, but have been looking at them for a long time, I have a friend who purchased one a year or two back. As far as a quality vehicle is concerned you couldn't get any better, but there are a few things you should learn about them by studying all that is written about them, read the forums. Probably one of the most powerful cars ever built also the most comfortable. So long as you don't intend ever doing any work on it yourself and you have a decent amount of money, you won't have a problem. I will mention just a couple of things that you must be aware of. There is a bypass hose on top of the transmission and behind the engine, it is not made to last forever, if it springs a leak the engine and transmission need to be removed to repair it, at enormous cost. You must never have the car jacked up or put on a hoist that is not supporting the wheels unless you have set the car up correctly before hand, "note" even to change a tyre, or you will have another major expense. Don't buy one with really low km on it as some major servicing based on time may not have been performed. But after having said all that, I'm still considering one, they are magnificent.

@RossReviewsau it's actually interesting, just over Thanksgiving I visited a relative of mine who told me he has a 2010 model, however he doesn't drive it much after what he told me the oil change process was like. He said it was a ton of labor because they basically had to dissect the whole car to do it. He said that the modern ones (2016 and up) are more reliable

@@RossReviewsau I think it would do your channel a world of good if you could get some form of indication of cost of maintenance and reliability for the vehicles you review. Unless you are being paid to only review the good side of the vehicle then I understand the angle of your channel. Otherwise, just a suggestion. You do a good review, but with more information, it be even better.

The W12 is powerful and smooth. These cars top out at 200 mph. The cost and complexity of changing to an LS wouldn’t be worth the trouble. The W12 is already a torque monster and hp at over 550 is nothing to sneeze at.
