@@autotrimmers6353 engine and turbo set up was ruffly $20k only labor cost was the machining. I did the rest so if u can’t build an engine I would say a lot more. Trans and drivetrain swap was around $12-15k. It was a hell of an experience lol good luck man!

Also, I built all the turbo pipe and stuff so that saved me TONs of money. Stage 6 makes turbo piping pre built ready to bolt on but it’s insanely pricey

cuiabanojr2 I installed it all myself. Depends on how mechanical you are. And yes you do have to get it tuned. I went with jay greene on my tune and a diablo trinity t 1000. After all my mods my gas mileage had dropped down to about 7 town 10 high way. And thanks I’ll have to do a good rev video sometime

Sebastian Z so my full exhaust system is completely aftermarket. I’ve got... 6.1L kooks long tube headers 3” catless mid pipes 3” x-pipe 2-3” SLP loudmouth 1 resonators Dual 3” exhaust all the way out to 4”x18” tips Everything I did custom to fit how I wanted including the bumper I cut and stuff.

Also thanks, ive had a million systems on here haha. Finally found one I like. It has a little bit of crackle but not to bad. Has a good smooth tone at low rpm and it screams wide throttle. The idle sounds perfect to me in person. Really livens the cam up. The only downfall is it’s loud inside and out haha. But fuck it

I actually don’t have this cam anymore. I built a turbo’d 6.5L hemi for this jeep now, seen in my newer videos. This cam in this video was a compcam xfi 268. With a Diablo tuner it went pretty well and was pretty reliable and smooth. Jay Greene tuned it. But I end d up changing my goal the 1000hp range

There are some cams that are MDS friendly. Me personally I didn’t want it from the get go so deleting it wasn’t a problem. But yes I did delete mds when I cammed it

For the engine back then I just did psi spring, 6.1 push rods, dual roller timing chain (comp cam) the cam was a comp cam xfi 268-h13, If you take the heads off I recommend doing the mopar mds Delete lifters and plug kit, I did long tube headers, and dual 3” exhaust full back with an x pipe and slp loudmouth 1 exhaust. Honestly there are a lot better cams out there but it’s all personal preference and the right tuner can make the world of difference.

Umm I think on an older account I posted a video maybe. The set up was a set of obx long tubes for the srt8 with mid pipes ( pretty sure you can buy long tubes now for the 5.7 though) And then if you look up a 2006-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee srt8 cat back exhaust it’s routed the same direction as that. Except instead of coming out of the center of the rear I put them on the sides and relocated my charcoal canister to the inside of that frame it’s mounted to.

MiniBlades oh yeah, for starters it was a Pain in the ass! You have to remove your coolant reservoir, you fuse boxes out of the way, and your alternator, it’s a little easier also to get the ac pump out of the way but don’t disconnect the hoses. Some of the bolts u can get with a ratchet, some I had to use a wrench. It takes time and patients. U will need to buy new studs btw. Also probably but some beer and make sure there’s no kids around because you may cuss a lot lol

Rikki Brewster haha kinda expected it to be a pain I was reading the factory repair manual to do it and they said you had to lift the engine a little. Good to know I don’t have to do that. As for the bolts I have broken ones as it is so that’s a whole thing by it’s self. Thanks for the reply hopefully should have the ARH headers on next month

MiniBlades I just used a pry bar, I didn’t lift the motor, and it’s not so much broken bolts, if ur putting on headers the thickness is way different so u have to run new studs. No problem! Anything else just ask

@@H1storybr3akdown tbh I haven’t gotten them dyno’d. This new build I plan on hitting the dyno when I get it lowered and on street/drag tires. Right now it looses traction every time I gets into boost. I would say the first build is around 400 up or so. My new build I haven’t even taken it over 14 lbs of boost. So I would say around 7-850 hp maybe. I plan to have it tuned for 900+ rwhp

It’s actually 4 wheel in this old video. But to convert to 2wd I actually went with a manual t56 which I made work by running a holley pcm. I removed everything that was a part of the old driveline. Built a Ford 9 rear axle and had a custom drive shaft made.

@@lloyddecker2965 I had the jeep and it was paid off. No sense in spending money just to swap body’s. I like the jeep tbh and it moves like it’s weightless. I’ve raced chargers and challengers and haven’t gave me a reason to want to swap body’s

@@joellasierra well jay Greene only does diablo tuning and also he respectfully declined my build. Due to the amount of tuning it would take. Also once you get into turbo’d stuff they charge more. I had got another guy to do it and he turned out to have HORRIBLE customer service and we butted heads. Came upon another guy for an awesome price. So far he’s had the best customer service I’ve ever seen. Highly recommended. Also thanks! I’m hoping to have transmission videos up before the end of the year

JEEP Wk5.7 post the video when it’s done I’ve never seen one like that lol I have a 2005 5.7 4x4 also but I’m having trouble with a p0128 code and something about the cylinder deactivation system might just give up on mine and get something else also the 4x4 isn’t working

manuel Ctz ah I’ve had that code before. It’s just a coolant issue. Usually thermostat or fan. Could be a sensor also. Usually a simple fix. And what do you mean about the 4x4 exactly? The cylinder deactivation system is your MDS. It could be a faulty solenoid. What bank is it? And do you have a bad tick? Could be solenoid or worse case a lifter. I deleted my mds along time ago. Also, I just posted a video of an update so subscribe and stick along while I build this thing! Any questions just ask I’ve tore mine from the inside out 100x lol

@@rodom303 lol ok. Maybe if you kept the 5.7 a 5.7 and the 6.1 a 6.1 and didn’t change the heads in the 5.7

I don't have social media, but I think now they make headers for this vehicle with the 5.7, If not then I used the 6.1 gasket. The main issue is the D port vs the square port. But the bolt pattern is the same

@@bryangarcia3704 this was still AWD at this time of the video. So actually since you have the 09 they made different heads I believe. They changed the port from square to d. So your heads should match up to the 6.1 obx headers for a 09
