My Jeep with new muffler:
1. Flexible joint 2.75" x 150mm
2. Glasspack type middle muffler 3" x 600mm
3. Resonator on the end, and rest are stock.
Materials used:
1. AISI316 Knees 2x45deg
2. AISI304 2.75" pipe

As a Jeep owner for the last 23 years, I can appreciate the custom work that can be done to WK and WH Jeeps. I've spent £10k on mine in the last few years. WK/WH are very cheap to buy in the UK and maintain if you pick the right ones that have not been abused too much. I run a WK 5.7 HEMI on LPG which gives me the same running costs as a small car.

Tottaly agree with You Sir, I had a pleasure to have almost maintenance free car. No breakdowns during exploatation, exept normal things like bushings, shock absorpers etc. Nothing unusual. Mine also run on LPG, and i can admit it is a perfect combination.

Mine runs also in Lpg. I built it 8cm up lokks great. He takes around 18,6l on Lpg and yours ?

@@Love.is.the.Key. about same a yours on LPG at 72p Litre, that equates to 15 to 16 average mpg UK gallon, (which is 1.2 x US gallon). But with urban only slow driving it goes down to 12 to 13mpg. But I have no monthly payment on this Jeep. So cheap to run

Reality is that with the factory resonator in place its not going to be super loud . I have a Glass pack on my 5.7 xk the resonator still in place its not a very audible rumble at idle or cruising rpm it gets reasonably loud under hard acceleration but that's is . The in cab at idle is like stock . I did a sound check when first removing the factory muffler it's pretty good sounding right off the Two cats do I'd say a 2.5-3 inch open pipe connection to replace the factory muffler will work pretty well if the resonator is still on because even a Glass pack isnt loud with it still on.

So far my mods are a nasty lil 210/218 COMP Cam swap, GC SRT8 headers (same year as my WK for fitment), DiabloSport Power (Tuner) Programmer, Volant CAI, and baffled oil catch can w/ breather. I need to set my exhaust up proper like this one. I'm a newb' on these trucks so educate me on exactly how to set up this exact sound on my 4x4 Limited HEMI 5.7L (2006). Appreciate the lookout, it breathes a lot better with the Grand Cherokee SRT8 header manifolds and not those worthless OEM logs wheezing under there, and the cam has that slightly noticeable lope. I want mine to sound deep (as where Megaladon lives) but a bit more mellow with some more low-end response and acceleration

Just replace mid muffler with glasspack style one. Glasspack straight through will give You throaty sound like mine. Do not touch end muffler/resonator. Part list you'll find in video description.

single exhaust pipe, is the only way. the charger and chrysler have dual exhaust pipes so it would sound very different unless u had it welded into one single pipe

Świetny dźwięk! Mam tutaj pytanie - znalazłem ostatnio ogłoszenie sprzedaży ze specyfikacją tego potwora, przy pojemności 5.7l moc silnika była podana jako 'tylko' 360KM. Zakładam, że da się z niego wycisnąć dużo więcej?

Chrumkacz PL (link usunięty ;)) znalazłem to ogłoszenie. W ogóle auto w LPG, ale przy tej pojemności i apetycie silnika zdaje się być uzasadnione-miałem jeszcze zapytać, co myślisz o instalacji LPG w takim silniku.

Chrumkacz PL Przepraszam, mój błąd, zapomniałem zadać właściwego pytania - ten z aukcji to taki sam model silnika, to jest, czy brzmi tak samo czy może w kolejnej generacji są jakieś różnice? No i czy jesteś z niego zadowolony i poleciłbyś Jeepa? Rozmawiałem ze znajomym i mówił że są bardzo awaryjne.

Tak zapytam, ile masz lat? Po pytaniach wnioskuję że mniej niż 18. Zatem po co sobie tym głowę zawracasz? :) Jeep to znakomity i wszechstronny samochód. Raczej niema konkurencji na rynku. Wymaga rozsądku przy użytkowaniu, to wszystko. W zamian doskonałe silniki, napędy, skrzynie.

Thanks, it's a simple straight through, 3" muffler. Shape similar to glasspack. Setup contains flexible joint 150mm x 3", two metal knees from AISI304, and then this muffler.

A little drone exists, near 2kRPM. There is a way to avoid it. An acoustiic gasket above resonator.

Panie.. co Pan za maszynę w diesel ładować chce, przecież to grzech... Mam 5.7 HEMI bogatszą wersję niżeli ta na filmiku i w życiu bym nie zamieniłbym się, chodźby i nawet na SRT. Co prawda zagazowany, ale to tylko w razie W. Cały czas na benzynce. Średnie spalanie 20/100 po mieście (mowa cały czas o benzynie) a na autostradzie to gdzieś zejdzie do 16/100 na tempomacie jadąc 140. Innymi słowy wciąga dużo paliwska no ale ile radochy masz z jazdy... i ten dźwięk ! Nawet bez tego wydechu co na filmiku potrafi sprawić uśmiech na twarzy.

Panie kochany widzę że jest Pan miłośnikiem jeepa i jest Pan z Poznania bądź okolic. Nie znamy się ale mam nietypowe pytanie/prośbę😀 choruje od jakiegoś czasu na granda i chciałbym takiego kupić z benzynowym silnikiem mam do wydania około 30 tys czy byłby Pan skłonny pomoc w zakupie/służyć doświadczeniem oczywiście odpłatnie. Niech Pan mnie źle nie zrozumie nie chciałbym się naciąć

Dzień dobry, Za 30tys. nie kupi Pan dobrego egzemplarza z tej generacji. W tym budżecie polecam szukać WJ/WG, a jeśli coś zostanie przeznaczyć na dobre oleje i części.

Chrumkacz PL wow szybki Pan. Dziękuję za odpowiedź. W Swarzędzu jest do kupienia Cherokee 4.0, podobno ten silnik jest bardzo dobry. Rozważam zakup tego samochodu ale chciałbym żeby ktoś fachowym okiem ocenił stan ramy i silnika bo to chyba najistotniejsze. Nie chcę ordynarnie wklejać linku do ogłoszenia ale w sumie wszystko i tak już napisałem 😀 mieści mi się w budżecie a że jest wiekowy no trudno dojrzałem do retro 😀 jeszcze raz dziękuję za tak szybką odpowiedź

Cherokee to zupełnie inny samochód. W sumie o co Panu chodzi? Są firmy, które dokonują przeglądów przedzakupowych dla Klientów, więc w czym problem?

Chrumkacz PL Może faktycznie zle napisałem. Choruje na grand Cherokee 3 lecz stać mnie na Cherokee 1. Poprostu pomyślałem że przydałaby mi się pomoc (ktoś kto ma doświadczenie przy jeepie) a szukając samemu w internecie trafiłem na Pana. Też jestem z Poznania i dlatego poprosiłem o pomoc. Jestem świadomy że mój budżet jest niewielki dlatego brałem pod uwagę Cherokee ale jak to bywa idzie znaleźć za 30 tys też granda z benzynowym silnikiem. Informacja w stylu odpuść sobie bo natkniesz się na minę jest dla mnie wystarczaja. Nie chciałem Pana w żaden sposób urazić czy wprowadzić w błąd chyba poprostu zabardzo się rozmarzylem. Jeszcze raz dziękuję
