Sorry I’m advance for my English, I tried to explain it as best as I could, also it’s not acceleration mode it’s accessory mode so apology only advance 😀
To test it before removing parts:
When it makes that sound turn the key back alittle and see if the sound goes away, or shift the car to drive or reverse. If it goes away, it means you have this issue and key is getting stuck in cranking position and make the starter hit the flywheel
If you have the same issue, get a used ignition key assembly and the ignition itself for $100, or you can buy it from the dealer for around $300
It requires programming after you install the new one, so make sure you can program it or u can take it to someone to do it for you
