The methods used in this video can be applied to most networks when diagnosing network bus errors, but keep in mind not all networks are the same.
In this video we are still working on the 2007 Audi A6. This time we will be addressing the faults stored in the comfort module, Local Data Bus Error and Horn Signal No Communication. I hope you guys enjoy this video and thanks for watching.

I really enjoy your videos. It's always obvious you are ScannerDanner trained. It shows in your thoroughness. Your knowledge of German cars combined with Paul's techniques is a real bonus for those of us who follow Paul and his free/premium channels and also own German cars (my daughter has a 2011 Jetta SE.) Good part 2! Customer is also lucky that none of the connectors / wiring (of the ECM or horn) were compromised from the flooding.

I've been watching ScannerDaner, EricO, Ivan and quite a few others for a while now. Mainly on American cars and Japanese/Korean imports. I couldn't help but wonder how they always knew what network was where and so on. I kept on looking at my versions of Alldata, Identifix, Mitchell and so on and never found the names of anything on the diagrams (I have a 2017 VW Golf). "Data Lines" was it. I thought I was going crazy. Now I know, thx to you Tom that I am not going crazy! Many thx! Having to watch KZfaq videos to figure out the diagrams of your car does not leave a positive aftertaste. I wonder why they (VAG) do that?

Nice video brother! Keep me coming! I enjoy TRYING to learn from them especially when you pull out the scope! I actually bought my own scope recently and I don’t even know how to use the thing yet (snap on vantage 2 channel)! Also starting a new job at Audi soon from being a Honda master since I got into the field. Don’t know what to expect in the Audi world but I’m both excited and a lil nervous as to how I’ll do!

Great Job again the last week i had a similar problem in a VAN bus (VAN bus is a tipical nertwork the Citroen or Peugueot), thanks for share this video Tommy.

I get 2 alarms in my car audi a6 c6 3.0 tiptronic, 00470 and 01134. They are the ones that appear in your videos, it is solved by changing those parts only

My eGolf was diagnosed with 37031 - Local Data Bus 2 Electrical Malfunction. Unfortunately, no VW tech in two dealerships seems to know what to do with this error code. Been stuck with no AC/Heat in an otherwise mechanically perfect car.

The hvac systems on those use a lin bus. I think it goes out to the pressure sensor. There may be more components on that circuit. Unfortunately it’s an electric vehicle so if you have no training on safety. You have to take it somewhere. Another question I would have. Any work done on the interior? I’ve seen harnesses get pinched during reassembly.

Some cars have it like this: there is a theft-deterrent module, an intruder sensor and the siren..and separate from that is the keyless beeper and keyless module..seems like yours is all in one

Audi have added to the service checks “ check pennum chamber ( under shuttle area) drain tubes for function” ie are they draining.

hi...i have some problem with CAN...same car.....i have no comunicațional with CAN and generator and batery module .....eror j533....have any idea were to look?thank you🍻

I would start by scoping the network. If the the network is down, Unplugging modules on the network like the generator and battery module one by one to see if it comes back.

No Vince. I was wrong. Slaves do repond. When decoding the bus there are identifiers 60 and 61. 60 is the master request frame. 61 is the slave response frame.

There is also an event trigger frame where slaves will respond too
