I had the same issue! Electrician said i needed a steering wheel lock module. Is that the same as the ESL lock that you showed in this video?

1 question , If the steering lock is faulty but it's stuck locked ( like you said, making the bypass emulator useless) What will the car do if you removed the steering column and completely eliminated the lock mechanism yourself. Then just put the steering column back in and just left the wire for the old steering lock hanging there? Will the car start and drive? Obviously the warning lights will come on but will the car run like that?
