Bro, your 2007 Camry is immaculate! Could you PLEASE say where you bought that dash cover? Also, how have you kept the black oxide coating on the mufflers intact? The coating on my car's mufflers is already chipping off and I hate how exposed the metal of my car's mufflers look as a result. Did you change that VVT-i oil line to all metal? Are your tints nano-ceramic? What oil do you use in your engine? I use the Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic and it made my car run even smoother. The Pennzoil oil is actually not too far behind Amsoil in terms of quality without the Amsoil price & exclusivity. Can you say what parts you have replaced in your Camry so far? Awesome car man, I hope you continue to enjoy it. Thank you for letting us enjoy it too. Ha ha.

@@payrocoin hi! I got the dashmat from “CoverCraft” And I got their “Suede” Dash cover, was about $80 with shipping and taxes , still in very good condition the dash mat, like they say, you pay what you get…. Good quality can be pricey, as for the “mufflers” I haven’t done a single thing to them, for the paint and exterior plastics I use Jay Leno’s Spray Ceramic coating about once every two months to keep the car looking shiny and protected by the Cali sun…as for parts…literally only a couple days ago on 10/30/2022 - the radiator cracked and I had to ASAP get the radiator replaced since it was leaking bad.. The car currently has 68k miles but the mechanic told me some plastics like the radiator still deteriorate through time despite low mileage. That has been the only major repair, I’m currently saving up to change that VVTI oil line Since that will be a labor intensive job so not going to be cheap. I changed the transmission fluid once as well at 45k miles, I’m going to change it again at 80k miles to keep the transmission healthy. The tints I have are normal tints, they costed me $250 for 5 windows so yeah lol, If you got any more questions please keep asking, I don’t mind helping other owners

@@DrEvilTag Thank you for the prompt reply. My Camry has a bit over 90,000 miles. I'm super picky with my car so I replaced all four shocks, all six ignition coils with spark plugs, all four rotors with brakes/shims. Will be doing front end work to it as well because the right axle is already leaking. The car runs like a champ so I don't mind dropping some $$$ into it. I'd much rather pay for infrequent maintenance/wear & tear work than a consistent new car note, especially when almost every vehicle is being sold over MSRP these days. Yes, unfortunately some parts just wear with age. The one thing I'm dreading is the alternator soon because those things usually just go when they go. I hope my car gives me some warnings before it does go though. Ha ha. When I first got the car I was tempted to add a turbo, CAI, and catback for a possible 90 HP bump. However, I think I would have needed to strengthen the transmission valve body and maybe some engine parts if I did those performance upgrades. But to have a 2009 Camry with almost 360 HP would make it one tempting & nasty "sleeper" for certain. However, I already outgrew my extreme performance youngster phase. Ha ha. I just like the fact that all those upgrades would make this Camry an even bigger blast to drive. Besides, I want my car to last as long as possible and those upgrades would just cause higher wear & tear. I put nano-ceramic tints on my car and they definitely made a world of difference over regular tints. My car gets & stays much cooler when using the a/c even in the nasty Texas 100 degree weather days. Goodness, if the sun in Cali is bad then it is brutal in Texas. Yeah, the VVT-I oil line was pricey to install. Those types of really important jobs for engine & transmission I tend to take it to a Toyota dealer. I also change the transmission fluid usually every 30,000 miles. I just do a drain & fill and NEVER a pressurized flush. Yeah, you probably get out like maybe 60% of the fluid but, it is safer for the internal hydraulic components. I really want to commend you again on the care you give your 2007 Camry. I wouldn't be surprised if there is another video made in the distant future with your car to celebrate it having 1 million miles. Ha ha.

The V6 really elevates these cars. It’s much smoother than the 4 cylinder, is quieter, sounds better, and it has a lot of power. I think they also have softer suspension bushings and some other things. It really gives it a Lexus lite feel. These were the fastest family sedans on the road when they came out

Goodness me, this thing was super clean and shiny for a 2007! Whomever owns that car is sure giving it some great TLC. I have a 2009 Camry LE V6 and I absolutely love it. However, this V6 engine had a recall for the VVT-i oil line hose. It was made with a rubberized hose connecting two metal lines. The rubber hose part would fail and cause the car to bleed out oil causing significant engine damage. I changed out that part with the Lexus ES VVT-i oil line part that Toyota made all metal and I've had ZERO issues. The 2GR-FE engine is a champ and incredibly efficient for a six cylinder. It gave me over 500 miles to a tank during a cross country road trip one time. I drove it keeping it under 3,000 RPM. You don't need to mash the gas pedal for this car to take off at highway speeds. I accelerated in a linear fashion making use of the tall gearing of the sixth gear and it would go from 60 mph to 80 mph pretty quickly without rushing past 3,000 RPM. The 6-speed auto was an excellent pair to the 2GR-FE. Every powertrain has its little quirks & issues but for the most part, the powertrain in this Camry is stated to be pretty much bulletproof.

I just picked up a sea foam green 2007 XLE with 30,000 original miles & I absolutely love it! It’s powerful, smooth, incredibly refined & has upscale features I didn’t expect (including a built-in roll up rear window shade!). And while everyone criticizes the bland & invisible styling, I think it’s really classy with incredible attention to detail (ie the flared front fenders). Thanks for the great review!

Mine has the manual roll up back rear shade that I showed Zack but he forgot to include in the video which is fine since he did a great job with 90% of the XLE Camry features, he only forgot to mention the moonroof, central area near moonroof, and rear sunshade but in most of his reviews he doesn’t focus on those areas anyways. I own a 2GR Toyota (not a Camry). This is a good review. When the 07 Camry came out with the 2GR it put a lot of entry level sports car to shame in a straight line. While the 2GR doesn't have the oil burning issues of the 2.4 2AZ, it is a bit harder to work on and is prone to failure of accessories like the alternator and water pump. A spark plug or coil change is also a bit of an operation in most front-drive 2GR Toyotas compared to the 4 cylinder.

I've owned two of this generation Camry. I had a 2007 XLE V6 and it was the quickest car i've owned; I burned through front tires within nine months lol. I currently have a 2009 LE with the 2.4 4cyl 2azfe and it definitely consumes over a quart of oil every 1,200 miles. However, that's all that's really wrong with it. I've noticed slightly better gas mileage than the 2007 I owned and I've also noticed better headroom due to the lack of a sunroof. 205K miles and still kickin

It does everything competently and without drama. It's well made and looks acceptable. There's a reason the Camry is the best-selling car. It is an car. Now you just have to find a hybrid Camry, especially in that unique light metallic green Toyota and Ford loved to paint their hybrids during the late 00s.

... They're reliable, but the interior is absolutely horrible on this generation. Dashes warp and melt, trim pieces are poorly painted and affixed, the body panels are incredibly flimsy. Compared to the generation before and after, these are garbage. The Corolla, Yaris, Venza, and Tundra all had horribly cheap interiors during this time. Luckily, Toyota listened to the market and went back to making nice interiors. I suppose since all the competition was making garbage, Toyota took a calculated risk with cost cutting.

We've had 3 Camrys in my familiy, two V6 3.0 (98 and 01) and a 2008 2.4. The difference in fuel consumption between the 1MZ with the 4 speed and the 2AZ with the 5 speed was tremendous, the 4 cylinder was way better in fuel efficiency. BUT, we then got a 13' Lexus ES350, which obviously had the 3.5 V6 2GR-FE engine with the 6 speed auto. To our surprise, that car had equal or better fuel mileage than the 2.4 Camry, both in city and in highway. My assumption is that the V6 needs less power and fuel to move the weight of the car, and also because of the extra gear.
@DrEvilTag
@DrEvilTag Жыл бұрын
Your totally right, the 6-speed Toyota put into the Camry V6 and ES350 helped a lot with MPG, I’m the owner of the Camry in the video…I got new tires recently.. I’m getting a solid 22-25mpg in the city…28-32 on the highway easily as well, and I still floor it every now and then to feel that very powerful and smooth V6. Luckily also the Camry V6 uses regular gas, I know the ES 350 uses premium gas for whatever stupid reason especially since it only makes 4 horsepower more…whatever Toyota as thinking back then, I know the newer ES 350 can use regular gas but idk when the year change was that for

My favorite generation of the Camry was the one right before this one the 02-06 5th generation the build quality was great no rattles smooth as silk riding down the road. Plenty of power with the 4 cylinder. I only drove one 6th gen 07-11 it was a 2011 with the 2.5 engine that replaced the oil burning one. Very nice to hear, these Camrys with this package was rare since for a couple thousand more you can get a base ES 350 at the time versus a fully loaded Camry, I was lucky to find my fully loaded Camry during the time I was looking, very few popped up especially with low miles

I have the 2005 toyota camry 3.0 v6 with the bulletproof 1mz-fe engine, one owner in 18 years with full log books up till 250,000 kilometres and now has 282,000 kilometres. I spent $4000,00 on the purchase price with 12 months rego and I put new tyers,new battery,timing belt kit,and a fuel pump assembly so all up it owes me $5200,00. Best car ive ever owned, doesn't use any fluids, doesn't leak any fluids, comfortable and quiet car to drive. Going on a 3200 kilometre interstate trip next month to see family. Window tint will be the other thing I get done in a couple of weeks time.

Even the 2023 Toyota Camry is available with the 3.5 Liter V6, which is great with acceleration but has poor fuel economy. Besides it makes over 300hp and has an 8 speed automatic transmission.

I have a 2011 V6 Camry LE. It’s the base package. So it doesn’t have any of those features which is fine with me and its much lighter. Has about 238k miles. It’s been very reliable. Drove it from LV to LA and achieved about 30mpg. These engine are great. I like how I just need to gas with 87 octane. Unlike with my g37. These V6 Camry is a sleeper, most people will look at it and assume it’s slow or had a 4 cylinder. It’s capable of giving a other higher brand cars a run for their money. Downfall on having a FWD V6 is changing out the spark plug. It’s easy work just a bunch of steps you gotta do. Definitely on these generation the V6 version are more reliable than the 4 cylinder. My previous Camry was a 2005. And from those generations I believe the 4 cylinder are more reliable than the V6 version. My 2005 had about 212k miles when I sold it and it achieved about 36mpg when I went from LV to LA.

Actually, the 3.3 liter V6 was more reliable than the 2.4 4 banger (The same engine as 2007-2009 Camry) from that era. My cousin had a 2002 Camry with the 2.4 and it burned oil like no tomorrow (140,000 miles).
@6.2Slomaro
@6.2Slomaro Жыл бұрын
@@hohepunktz6778 just cause your cousin had one that was burning oil doesn’t mean it was unreliable. I seen a handful of 4cylinder 2002-2006 camry with over 200k-300k miles. The 3.3V6 and 3.5V6 are two different engine. 3.3 falls under the MZ family and 3.5 is under the GR family. The 3.3V6 is reliable but the biggest flaw is that it uses a timing belt.

Why is everyone saying gas mileage is poor? I’ve had a 2010 ES in my family since new and that thing reliably gets high 20s to low 30s for mpg still to this day, every tank. Lowest I’ve seen on my ES for a tank was 26, but usually it’s between 28 and 31 with mostly stop and go commuting.

Bought mine January 17, 2007. Still have it, 216,000 miles on clock, and truly a maintenance blessing: in 15 years, powertrain-wise, I've changed only 1 water pump (at around 110,000 miles) 2 ignition coils (the same one, I think) 1 alternator (recently). This thing doesn't burn a drop of oil (and I still use regular, not synthetic). Nothing done to the transmission (and I love how this thing downshifts in manual mode - it's like a paddle-shifter on a lever: just tap it back once, twice, or thrice if necessary). I still have to hold this car back from unnoticeably climbing to 100 MPH without effort. This is a GREAT V6, hands down. Got 36 MPG highway one time driving in Colorado (high altitude); but regularly get 33 on sea levels; average city/hwy of about 27. I am always amazed at how this performs with fuel consumption, compared to a 4 cylinder Outback. Multiple mechanics and service persons always remark on how well-kept it is and runs. Yes, styling is unremarkable (it was brutal to see someone describe a Corolla as an "appliance"!); but the satisfaction I get from outrunning others when I succumb to the occasional boyish invitations to be tested, is second to none. (I remember outrunning a guy in a sporty Volvo who, as I left him on the interstate as I took my exit, looked at my car as if to say, "A 𝐶𝑎𝑚𝑟𝑦 outran me?" Yeah man, it did!)
