As a Brit, I was absolutely furious with that race. Absolutely no doubt that Jamaica crossed into the GB lane during their catastrophe, and totally wrecked their changeover too. A totally unexpected competition given the US dropped the baton in the semis before this.

Wrong AGAIN Otto!!! There wasn't a lot of blame to go around. K Stewart took off too soon. Then she almost stopped because she was going to be out of the exchange zone. That disaster was all on Stewart.

*Correction* His name is Ato... it was clear that Sherone to Kerron barely ever practiced, it's the incoming runner to ensure the baton is passed, all Kerron should have done was keep her hand out, Sherone should have told her to slow down.

That's the year 2008 Jamaicans 🇯🇲 was so disappointed for our women 4x100 relay team because they would have gotten the world record. Kerron Stewart went out too early and left the baton in Sherone Simpson's hand.

There should be a rule concerning what happened to the British athletes, cos that is clearly not fair on their path. They should have been allowed a re-run.

Такие правила в эстафете: Потеряли или уронили, не передали эстафету, кто виновен??? Сами спортсмены. Но на этом основании несправидливо отнимать награды у удачливых спортсменок и поворачивать события в чью то другую пользу. Это был их неудачный бег. Судьба так распорядилась. Русские победили!!!! Верните награды!!!

The commentators got so excited when Jamaica dropped the baton lol. This should have been a Jamaican win though, but they made up for this imbroglio the second time they got an Olympic sprint 1-2-3. Also, Russia would be DQ'd and stripped of this gold medal years later for state sponsored doping.

Jamaica didn't drop the baton Kerron went out too fast and couldn't hold on to the baton passed to her , she went out the zone.

@@0077725no, me neither! I remember watching this at home and my folks and I going berserk at Jamaica. After the US dropped it in the semis, then this crazy race, followed by Russia being stripped of gold later on for doping, it was one bizarre relay competition.
