2 ай бұрынPart 2 of my cooling upgrade. In a previous video I installed the RAM V-6 electric fan mod and everything is working great. There are a few other things to help get the most out of this upgrade. The first is removing or altering the active grille shutters. I didn't want to throw a code or have an issue, so for the time being, I simply removed most of the slats to leave the motor and rest in place. So far it's been working excellent and I can tell a big difference in the temps staying more stable driving down the road. It was easy to remove the slats and had everything back together in no time. LOL, I hear you. It was so easy though, I showed in one part, just push down on them and they'll pop right out for you. Nothing to it! Hope that helps a little.

so if you leave the top and bottom shutters in, the check engine light wont come on?

So far so good with mine. There may be other ways of doing this, but I haven't had any trouble yet, and it's kept the temperatures from fluctuating so much while driving, still happy I went this route. Thanks for watching!1
