I was called to diagnose a Cadillac hybrid with no crank no start. This vehicle was bought from auction and had a front impact damage.
With tech 2 i was able to reset the 300 v hybrid dts and get the vehicle started again.

Hello, I am a semi-new Subscriber, thanks for the repair video, I am starting to see more and more comments around the internet that "Deleting the Code is not how you repair a car", as you are aware, the vent solenoid is open so there is a hard code due to an open circuit so deleting the code is not going to fix that, its a very famous GM problem, yes. Please don't teach your viewers this technique, much appreciated. I know you were not hired to fix the EVAP but one erase chance is all you get, any more attempts only show that MAYBE you don't know what you are doing but I know you are a smart guy, thanks again mate. I will be watching 100% of your videos.

Hello Sir. First off thank you for the video. I have a 2009 Cadillac Escalade hybrid and I believe my HVIC sensor Needs its weather seal replaced Or the terminals and maybe even the sensor itself. It throws no codes. But when I clear it (especially after a wash) it will do The whole power on but no crank no start but disconnecting the negative for a minute fixes it every time. It is doing it more often now. Not just after a wash because it gets moisture but now when there is absolutely no moisture in the air and close to 100°F. still able to start after I disconnect the negative terminal of battery. I’m going to jack up the front and remove shield to have a look at it and replace what I need to but I’d love to avoid replacing the sensor because I haven’t been able to find it Available for purchase anywhere. I am mechanical. And thanks to your video even more capable. Really appreciate it. Would love to know your thoughts on it and if you’d have an idea of where it could be purchased instead of having to take it into GM/Cadillac. I’d be happy to Venmo you for your time/expertise

I’m having this issue right now. Engine light on. All of the service alerts will pop up. I took my truck to Cadillac one year and they tightened something and I didn’t have the issue for about 4 years. Now it’s doing it again.

Dude, the air bag light is blinking instead of the seatbelt light. My airbag light lights whenever I turn it on, but doesn’t flash like yours.

Hello I purchased a Cadillac Escalade hybrid 2010 from auction and claimed it was running when it came in but when I got there they loaded vehicle with fork lift and nothing was working I got a new regular battery and still having the same issue as what you see in this video. I have cancer and on a budget due to disability and can’t afford to pay a bunch of diagnostics and I see the tech 2 scanner is very expensive. Was wondering if you knew of anymore affordable scanners that could help me try the steps that you did in your video to see if that works for me. If you could please get back to me ASAP would be greatly appreciated thank you so much

Hello I’m having the same problem on my 09 Yukon hybrid there was 3 dogs who ran under my front bumper now it’s not starting do you think I should take it to a shop to do this procedure I’d have to tow it to do so thanks 🙏🏼

I am assisting on a cylinder head replacement with new lifters and pushrods. We got everything back together, but no start or crank after charging the battery. Does the 2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid have a starter, or not? Because this is getting frustrating. I am thinking. What if we replace the battery and the vehicle still does not start?

Make sure you double check your work. Check all the connector plug make sure all are plug in properly. Pay attention ⚠️ on battery cable make sure you don’t leave one disconnected. There is a cranking motor which you also call starter. It should crank and stop depending on the engine status.

This is year old assume you figured out the issue. Inverter cover screw has a switch tied to it, if loose, no crank.

My 2009 escalade hybrid hazard was left on ran the battery down now my truck is doing no crank no start. I even changed the battery out and nothing

You will need a technician to look at it and do some reset to get it back to normal. In this case you need factory scanner tool.

yes you will need a Tech2 scanner to perform this fix.

@@RoSe-vt3ry \Tell the dealer tp perform the crash reset using a GM Tech2 or GDS to fix the problem. if the vehicle was hit it will never start until you perform this. Tell the DEALER to go through my poor video it will show them the clue.

This happened to me. Wouldn't even jump start. Bought a new 12v battery and the thing turns on now.

@@quickautomotivediagnostics8728 I did. I think the battery officially died-died. It's weird, I didn't notice anything wrong with the battery until it just stopped working entirely. Changed the battery out and it turns on now. Before I changed the battery, it wouldn't even jump start.

@@sp00f34 I have tricked my hybrid into starting once it had 10 volts in battery. I don’t recommend this unless in a pinch. I used a 18ryobi drill battery and jumped to the 12v for a few seconds basically showing had enough voltage in battery to spin the 300v motor and start.

I’m having this issue now. I have a 08 Tahoe hybrid.randomly die on the free way took out the 12v battery and got it check it was dead got it recharged and bought a new 12v battery and try using both of them and it still didn’t turn the car over. NEED SOME HELP!

a hybrid does not have a crank its electric charge your car for 24 hours the battery under the hood

@@yungcash5465 charge your 12 volt battery 24 hours with a battery charger pro logix or something you can buy at canadian tire for 100$ charge that battery slowly for 24 hourse because i think u have a 12 bolt battery problem bud i had the same issue i can help you giv eme more info whay your car does

@@balkantvofficialbackup I did charge the 12volt battery all day and I even bought a new battery to replace and see what happens and it still didn’t turn over. Some said it can be a faulty wire. I got it back from the dealer ship and they told me it’s the driver motor that has to be replace.
