With damage like that checking the alignment of the frame would be advisable. Also I would check the internals of the forks and change the triple head bearings.
@fordguy8792
@fordguy8792 2 жыл бұрын
I just made that point. Main reason why I won't buy a rebuilt unless I know what kind of wreck it was in and everything that was repaired or replaced. Especially frame damage. It may hold up for now but could fail in the worst possible way should it get wrecked again. At least the rebuild process is cool to watch.

You really do some excellent work, I especially appreciate how you put in the extra time and money to replace or remove the tacky add-ons even though the bike is going to be sold. Great editing as well, these are super fun to watch! Also nice to see some quality motorcycle content from someone else in upstate NY. Cheers from the finger lakes, next time I'm in the market for a bike I'll look you up first!

Thank you for showing and putting heat shielding on the fairings. So many people don’t and just throw on the replacements. I knew some guys that ran a Dyno shop and they’d melt a dozen a week (even after warning and asking the owners to remove fairing if they cared about them) and then the owners would get mad that their fairings melted like cheese.

My name is Scott and my son Nathan and I are really starting to get bike fever after being stuck inside for way to long due to the Covid outbreak. I'm more of a old school type of guy but after watching hundreds of videos and talking with Nate for quite some time now we've both decided that we want sport bike's instead of what I was originally going to do which was building a old school kz1000. So today after work I was browsing videos and trying to find one that I watched about a year ago of a young guy probably in his mid twenties or so and I'm pretty sure he was using his parents garage to rebuild wrecked sport bike's and it looked like he was in California right on the ocean. Anyway when I first found his videos I was impressed with his work and the detail in which he put into every bike he did. But today I looked for his videos again and couldn't find any of them. But in the search I stumbled across your videos and was blown away with the way you do your rebuilds and how knowledgeable you are about all aspects of the bike's your working on. So my first question is are you doing these for customers who've wrecked their bike and are having you rebuild them? Or are you buying wrecked bike's and rebuilding them yourself and reselling them? Whichever way, I would be thrilled to talk to you about the subject and maybe get your opinion on which way we should approach this new hobby of ours? And the reason I'm asking is because although I make pretty good money at my trade I don't want to just go out and buy a new bike and just start riding it. I want to be able to bond with my son and when we're finished with our first one I want us to be proud of what we've accomplished together. And I know that your probably a pretty busy guy but we would greatly appreciate it if you could get in touch with us and discuss some options that might be available? Thanks alot for your time and will be watching for your reply hopefully in the very near future. Thanks again! Scott and Nathan Harrington, West Jefferson, Ohio.

After a crash which deli ered forces high enough to rip the wheel, brake rotor and oil pan to shreds ... I really do not like the fact you inspected the front forks by looking at them on a table and giving it thumbs up. Thr forks definitely should be replqced after crash like this. Kinda scary to imagine I would be the person going 300kmh on this after this repair

After this hard impact of the front, at least you have to open the fork and check for damage inside if you have no opportunities for accurate measuring and testing. I have seen less worse damages in the front and the fork was not working probably. And do you use the right torque for assembling parts on the fork? Otherwise nive job. Looks really great at the end!
