Just a quick video of how to replace a rear upper control arm or camber arm on a 2016 Ford Focus SE. All Focus cars should be the same or similar from '11 to '18. This arm was bent in a car accident and needed an adjustable one installed to be properly aligned. It was a quick, easy process and would work with aftermarket performance style camber arms as well. What is the part # for this control arm? I have a '17 Focus Titanium with excessive rear camber, its eating up all my tires and looks ugly. Been looking everywhere for a solution. Thanks!

Reverse threads. Thanks for adding that to be aware of. First time I happen to run across that was on a propane tank. I was tightening the line when I thought it was loosening it.🙃🧐🤔It's a wonder I didn't blow myself up. 🤯

I have a 2017 that came from the factory with negative camber. Ordering a few adjustable arms to stop wrecking tires

They always design negative camber into the rear on these types of vehicles and they're almost never adjustable for cost savings. The negative camber reduces the chance for oversteer and provides inherently safer handling. Blame the majority of people out there who can't drive for shit.

Yo tengo ese problema con la llanta trasera lado piloto , es un Ford Focus SVT modelo 2002, y creo es compatible la misma pieza , las ví rn Amazon y decia q es para el Focus 2000 al 2016 , mi pregunta es si le queda a mi focus 2002 para corregir ese problema

Installed these with all new control arms, went to get an alignment and Belle Tire told me they are for toe adjustment and cant fix my excessive rear camber lol I guess ill just have to straighten the camber up myself tonight cause cause the techs are lazy haha

What?! You saw the results in the video. Might be time to find a different tech haha. Take matters into your own hands! They're literally called CAMBER ARMS haha. Your tech must have gotten into some brake cleaner fumes lol.

@@605BOLT dude I just laughed at them. I replaced all the arms front and rear, for the bushings mainly, and its pretty easy. My guess is they never took off the wheel to do the alignment and never saw the adjustable arms, even though I told them about it twice. I'm sure it's sold as a factory alignment so if it wasn't on there from the factory they wont do it....only thing I can think of besides laziness. Don't even mean to bash my belle tire either cause they've always done my rusty jobs I wont do, oh well, win some lose some I guess lol

I heard that if you replace with adjustable arm it will make more noise? Does anybody can share their experience that hows adjustable arm works?

This one did not make noise. If you don't tighten up all the jam nuts on this thing it will clunk. But if they're tightened, you won't notice a difference.

I don't. We only worked on the back due to a fender bender. I would bet anything there is something out there though.

I had to remove it yes. And put it back in. But otherwise no. Pretty easy.

I can't say as this was a collision repair so obviously it was all beat up. My assumption would be that if one is worn out the other is probably quite close.

@@605BOLT Yeah. My are going at slightly different times. I took off my back tire to do a repair on the tire, and the camber arm on the tire with lots of negative camber ( tire wearing on the inside?) The bushings are completely depleted. The other tire has slight wear.

What is the torgue settings for the bolts please ?

I don't have a torque setting. Just good and tight is what I would go with. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Do you have to get an alignment after this if you just recently got one?

I would say yes. No real way to make sure things are perfect without an alignment. 👎

Number one any good alignment shop should have refused to do it instead of just taking your money. Number two you should have an alignment done after changing any suspension or steering part.

Yeah. They were too dumb to realize these parts needed change, specifically the left side. I figured this was the case because the left rear alignment results were still bad after the alignment. I changed the parts on both rear sides myself and took it back for an alignment (which ended up being free) and my car is now properly aligned.

I'm sure the design is very similar. This type of arm commonly used. Slightly different dimensions but the same idea.

The focus and escape both came from the factory with poor rear suspension design. Tire wearing camber is within ford's own specs. They are too cheap to do a recall and give everybody the adjustable arms and new tires they deserve. Wish I would have done more research on this crap box before I let my mother buy one.

I can't argue with that. Seems like something that should be installed by the factory.
