I’ve just done this job and it’s far easier if you tackle the bottom two bolts and that tab from the underside! Taking the undertray might seem a hassle but your otherwise doing it blind and risk the gaskets.

Great video. Just ordered mine. Found coolant in the eye valve and assume it must be the cooler seal. What did you use to clean up the metal before you put the new one on?

Thanks for posting the video, the coolant housing on my Saab 93 Z19DTR TTiD has just split! How easy is it to remove the small coolant hoses from the housing and re-fit to the new one? Can they simply be pulled off and then pushed onto the new housing, or do they have to be crimped back on as they are under pressure? Thanks in advance for your help. Mac

Hello, nice video. My question is, where did you bleed the radiator from after filling up with coolant? There is a cap for the thermostat housing which will be used, but did you bleed the radiator too?

Great video mate. This engine looks the same as mine i have a fiat bravo sport 2.0 multijet. Just wondering ive had the egr valve off earlier to clean it and when i took it out some water came out and i lost a bit of coolant (not much about 50ml) is this normal or is my egr cooler toast? I topped coolant up last week aswell it was on min.

Thank you for the video! I have a Suzuki SX4 2.0 DDIS 2011 4x4, same engine as Fiat Sedici. I have the same problem on it and Suzuki sells the block EGR for 1200 € excl taxes!!!! On the original part is written the same serial number and ref. Do you know it could be remplaced with the Fiat ref? Thank you in advance

Was the center bolt a different size torx than a T27? I have taken all the outer bolts out, even the bottom one, and I cannot seem to connect with the bolt in the center hole

Hi mate. I've got to do this job on a 2011 Saab 9-3. Which basically as the same engine. Did you fully drain the coolant prior to removing the part?

Did you clean the EGR or perhaps an idea for an video? I just removed the upper torx bolt (2 bolts holding the valve in place as I see) and it instantly started dripping coolant. It should just come off but the engine was just a tad warm (not hot). Perhaps there is still pressure and that's causing the leak, but I'm not sure. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello , I was thinking on buying a Giulietta 2.0 jtdm 140 but here in my country there is no much info about it . Can I kindly ask you to share what you know about the problems with those cars before the facelift . I can afford an early model - 2011 or 2012 . I will defenetly change the EGR cooler if I buy one , but can you tell me what other common issues do they have and if its an easy fix or costs alot ? Ive heard something about a gearbox issue and something with the cables , but there is no much info in my country. I hope that you may shine some light here. Thanks

Hi i need to clean the egr valve. Is it on the back side of the egr cooler? Is it hard to remove?

Yeah at the back of the engine. Move inlet pipe out the way,Remove throttle body (wiring plug at bottom) disconnect brake vacumn hose and move out the way. There is 2 bolts on inlet,3 bolts on tb and 2 on egr valve. Make sure you use correct torx/Allen key bit not sure what it is I've rounded one off today so I'm struggling to change it now. I'll figure it out. Use a small ratchet with extension and wobble bar if poss as the bottom one a bugger. The main problem is an electrical harness goes around it and there's little play.

EGR cooler on backside of engine. You need to remove 2 x tx27 bolts. They are a pain to get to. You need extensions and a ratchet. Don't drop the bolts.
