VERY COOL VIDEO , I WORK ON A LOT OF NISSANS AND I HAVE EVEN SEEN THOSE AFTERMARKET AIR FILTERS COME APART AND GET INTO THE MASS AIR SENSORS . SOMETIMES THE CUSTOMER DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM BUT WITH A VIDEO THEY DO . THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS AND PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING !

Thankfully came across your page any idea what my 14 Altima started giving me the mass code a little while ago thought it was the sensor changed it twice the code comes off and goes on no real pattern and just on start up. The only symptom I can see is that sometimes when it’s really cold under 20 degrees or so on the first start of the morning the car won’t turn over (battery tested good) the only way I can get it to start is when it’s cranking is to step on the gas pedal a couple times and that starts it up. Jiffy lube replaced my engine air filter and 3 days later my engine light came on. Scan said it was MAF sensor. If I replace with proper filter should light go off?

I have been using Denso engine air filter from RockAuto on my 2011 Rogue, and recently got the P0101 code ☹️

I believe this is the issue im having with my neighbors car, same code and he has an aftermarket filter. Thought it was the maf. I will advise on an oem air filter now

Make sure you put back the OEM maf if it was changed for an aftermarket maf, or the problem may persist.

Nissan. You can order it online A dirty OEM filter on the vehicle a few days longer while you wait for it to arrive wont trigger a CEL but an aftermarket just might atleast on that body style Rogue.

do i need to take out the negative car battery cable? i install a new air flow sensor to my 2011 Nissan Juke but it still has the engine light. i got it for $130 in AutoZone.

A ton of things can cause this code. Dirty throttle body, vacuum leak, exhaust leak or restriction, ecm update needed, damaged airbox or filter.
