Not too bad. Quite a few in the lost were non-essentials. Like you I’ve also had all the fluids changed, transmission flush etc In two years I’ve had top intake manifold go, £800, alternator failed, £800, £15 drop link, front wiper motor - £500, prop shaft £500 ….I can’t think of anything else I’ve had to ‘essentially’ repair to actually be able to drive the car again. Given that it’s 10 year old luxury car, not too major or horrific.

A Boy loves his toy , enjoy it Mate . The total cost over all is worth every penny and puts a smile on your face .

If you’re nr Hampshire anytime then highly recommend Glenrands in Bordon. They do Hunter 4 wheel laser alignment too which should be done annually to avoid tyre wear. I won’t use anyone else now and I’ve used a lot of specialists....

Cheers Dan, really helpful. RR's have always been my dream car & the wife has finally given the approval lol. I know nothing about motor engines at all, I have been doing my research as I want an Autobiography (all the bells and whistles), go big or go home is my moto! I am budgeting about 30K, looks like I'll get 2014/15 model for that money. I have just been a bit worried about all the horror stories, but I have had Jags, Merc's & BMW's, you get issues and high maintenance costs with prestige cars so I get that. Plus you only ever hear the ones that break down , not the thousands that run every day without any issues (hopefully lol). My biggest query at present is the 4.4 V8 or the 3L V6. Lots of people have convinced me the V8 is more reliable and not much more to run fuel-wise because it's such a heavy motor the 4.4 doesn't struggle as much or revving to get it pulling away, so leaning towards the V8? Any thoughts sir? Thanks for the video fella.

Noticed you shut the engine off just after you stopped can I suggest you allow to idle for a few minutes . This allows the oil to cool the turbos or your looking at very expensive repair .

Trouble is with these so called independent specialists they often charge way more than what a proper dealership would charge. Ppl think they are saving money but opposite is true.

Gearbox oil change is recommended at 9 years, so although you say it did nto really need doing, it is on the service list to be done. Did the garage use genuine LR parts or OEM parts? They are lovely motors my 2011 is just creeping up to 95K after 2 years and 30K miles of ownership. You are right , they are not cars to buy if you are on a tight budget. Have you tried the bovee system for bluetooth ipod /iphone connection?

Windscreen fitters hardly ever put those trims on properly. They never use new clips. Must insist on it. Call them and complain .
