2011 STi Steering Rack Upgrade!!

Күн бұрынToday we upgrade our 2011 Subaru WRX STi's steering rack to a 2015+ one!! The advantage is a quicker steering ration of 13:1. Along the way all the hardware is replaced, new lines are installed, as well as a whole subframe refreshed. Stay tuned for part 2 on the STi, progress on the RX-7, BRZ, and the turbo widebody civic!!!

Did you get your pressure hose from Subaru? I was about to just replace it but I'm probably not going to do it now at the $380 online cost lol

Hey when you installed the wiseco pistons in the b16 did they hit the oil squirter??

The first time around they actually did! They didn't hit when I rotated the engine over by hand, but when I ran the engine for the first 100 or so miles, the stems broke off! I ended up just plugging the squirter ports since forged Pistons don't require oil squirters

I did this upgrade due to a internal failue of old rack, the turn input i feel has doubled almost as if the power steering pump is insufficient for the rack. Or i need gym time.. but it def got stiffer with steering input. Comments? Swap done on 2011 sti sedan. Last 3 of part number 121 vice 120. Lmk guys what you found. Thnx
