Thank you so much, I'm going to have to check to make sure it's connected, since my car got hit in precisely that location, and every since then, I get the "Hood Ajar" warning light.

There is a harness that branches off of the driver’s side fog lamp harness. A sub harness go from it to that driver’s side hood latch/switch.

I am glad you made this video. I checked my work after putting a new bulb in, but in my replacing of what needed to be removed, I failed to make sure ALL plugs were plugged in. When i saw this vid, i went to the spot and it was plugged in but following the wire harness down found a plug that was not completely plugged in. BAMM! Fixed a problem that would have costed me over $200. Thnx

If your switch is bad and you don’t care or am waiting for money to buy a new one. Just run a jumper across the plug. This will show the computer it’s closed until you get your new switch. I’m about to go double check mine after converting to LEDs.

Thank you so much I went to a mechanic shop to replace my radiator and for that you need to take the bumper off and when they replace the radiator and put everything back together that error of the hood appear, maybe they didn’t connect the connector right or left it unplugged

Yeah also a big pta is when it goes off when the hood is closed very common problem that’s a defect with these cars. Ford has no fix but to charge over $200 to fix the sensor that’ll work for maybe 2-3 weeks. Also on the 2013 fusion titanium. FORScan can NOT turn off the hood sensor it’s not available on the menu options.

Hi would this be the same problem on a FG 2009 falcon? I have a factory alarm but I cant see any connection to bonnet latch but I keep getting the bonnet ajar warning on my dash every 30 seconds while driving. Bonnet is closed. Any ideas would be great. thanks.

7 and then 8mm. Mouse ate my wire. God i hate this car. now the latch wont open with the yellow handle .
